Not at all. Marriott properties WILL run a temp amt for the entire stay {PLUS some extra} against your card when you check in. It falls off and the real charge goes through on Checkout if paying by Credit card. There's no indication of temp charges --I believe it's called PENDING--on the actual statements, but if you have the option of going online to look at transactions, IT will be there until they cancel it. The Pending charge CANCEL would go through when you pay the bill --be it cash or credit card. So if you reserved, checked in, and paid cash / checked out last week, there's no record of the PENDING charge. If you checked in today and were checking out / paying tomorrow, anyone logging in to the credit card acct would see the PENDING Chrg.

Consider that it might cause some heart issues for you now. You don't want to wind up like Nelson Rockefeller. Maybe you should check the active ingredients and investigate the possible side effects.
