I have heard of it before, but not very often on SA. I look at a lot of the Sugar threads, I haven't seen that happening elsewhere. However, there would be no real reason someone would just stick to Wisconsin, for example, so everyone should be prepared. The obvious way to deal w / this is to use Google Voice, so if your number is blown, you just delete it and get another one. However. Not all of us are tech savvy about google voice. I could use a primer, actually. Does anyone want to tell us *exactly* what do to on our Android burner phones to get a GV number?

Does it cost me an opportunity? Probably, but some f*are put me on the predator list and tried to bribe me and that's the shits. Can you imagine a coworker or neighbor snooping on that list?

Can you clarify? I did mine today for the first time today, and actually it was dead easy. Just use Google Play to install the GV app, it took me through the process and gave me some numbers to choose from. Now I have something new to remember. Since I got a google account when I first got this Android burner TracFone, I was able to use that to look up the number, etc. IDK what I'll have to do at some future time when I want to swap out that number, but I can deal with that when I come to it. I think I am about to get a membership again, to either SA or the SecretBenefits site that pops up all the time on here, maybe the way to sort the girls out will be to give them the GV #henceforth.
