Thanks for sharing all that (and sorry for late response)!
I would challenge the very last statement only. No need for the services of tanning salons, HE-friendly MPs, etc. I mean, if these places are popular, obviously there is a need / want for them.
I don't disagree with you. What I mean is, if all businesses are legal, there is no need for the "service" of gangs. They, the gangs, cannot find ways to get protection money to feed themselves. In Asia and other countries, gangs are also the alternative to welfare; they don't have welfare.
Honestly, I don't care what they sell inside MP or clubs, as long as it's not in my neighborhood. In the last one or two years, there's one near the back my post office, that I don't walk past. There's one next to my supermarket. Both are reported to be legit, "they don't do that here". Otherwise, it would be weird when I have to look at happy ending seekers when I get groceries.
Also, I'm talking about how Asian locals or other locals think, not my opinion except the last paragraph. Certainly, I agree with the need for HJ service. But the problem is, you may write the law to allow high-class only strip club, but when the going is tough, owners will allow touching, HJ, blowjob, and anything goes in the VIP room. The same thing for MP's. If you don't crack down on HJ, some owners will move on to FS when the going is tough. Cafes have been legit for years with eye candies only. Now there are too many of them. Shows are turning cafe into illegal strip clubs. And will they have a VIP room down the line?
I think incalls in hotels and motels are best. I'm all for legal brothels as long as they can find some places to take them. Best locations should be at gas stations.
For the context, all SGV nightclubs had metal detectors since at least 20 years ago. I bet they still have it. There were gang wars and famous shootings worthy of China town movie scripts. For cafes, there's no need. You don't need to get in to shoot.
