Nothing is "that simple" on the stroll. Not all SWs are the same and not all mongers are the same. If the information was not valuable for you, then, fine, ignore it. But please don't be the self-declared know-it-all of the streets to the degree that you feel you can summarize everything for everyone in a few sentences, or, worse yet, two words.

I can understand why he would be pissed by this, but it is part of the game. I am currently in a situation with a girl from Camden that has found a "sugar daddy" and is not working the streets anymore. I have her number and see her occasionally because she was always a fun date. She definitly looks better and has an improved attitude, but she still gets high every time I give her money. I wish I could help her get off the streets because she misses her kids, but it seems she still prefers to drugs over family. My point is that supporting a SW is a recipe for disaster and it takes a lot more than funds to help them get clean. I do beleive that not all SW are out to play you regardless of the stereotype and its not hard to feel sorry for them when you listen to their stories. Sometimes listening to them or buying them some food is better than money and makes them happier.

In the first statement, you ask him to simply ignore a post if it didn't provide valuable info for him, then proceed to ignore your own advice and resort to name-calling and telling him what he should or shouldn't do.

While Pedey's tone might have been a bit abrasive, he was simply stating his point of view. I think you make a valid point in that sometimes things are not as simple as it seems, but I also think it crosses the line to then dictate what he can or can't be or should or shouldn't say. Last time I checked, this was still a free country.

I wrote to the Admin some time ago and volunteered to keep the photo thread current. I never heard a peep. The photo thread is special in that only the person running it can access it to add/change photos or change the format, etc. If a normal thread is set up, changes can only be made for a 24 hour period to any one post, and anyone can post to it, which might quickly clutter the organization and format. The photo thread had an open post format, and additions and changes could be made at any time. It also had an ability to keep the pic postings currently organized alphabetically by year, include ratings, and had program links to the various reports on each SW. Unless the Admin opens this up again and allows someone to run it, it is pretty much dead in the water as it used to exist. I am not quite certain why it was closed in the first place.

I agree with the points you brought up about not making overly broad generalizations. You made your case, and Pedey made his. My objection was that you then proceeded to tell someone what he should or shouldn't do; that's his own call isn't it? I dated Carol last year around this time and I have been looking for her since. I walked right up to her and asked her if she was available for a date. She wrinkled her nose and forehead like she was thinking about it, and didn’t say anything, but grabbed her purse and started walking with me to my car.

Carol was much more alert than I have ever seen her, but I am not sure if that is a good thing. Last time she didn’t say much of anything at all, but this time she talked very slowly like there was a delay from her brain to her mouth and there was a speed limit on the words. She seemed to be alert and not high so I guess that is just what she is like normally.
