Stopped by Girlz cafe in GG around 9 pm and no shows happening. Server indicated GGPD raided the place around 8 pm. Two servers had breast exposed and were arrested / hauled away and manager got a ticket. She also said GGPD has made 3-4 visits during the few weeks. Definitely seems to be a crack down.
I would have thought that was fine considering nude strip clubs exist.
I'd like to know what's going on, if anyone has any info.
So I posted, my previous post as it was happening yesterday really quickly from my phone. So here's what happened; I was there around 7:30 pm, give or take, when 4 GGPD officers came in sporting Gang Unit vest. They talked to the mamasan / supervisor working the counter and questioned the girls working. They cuffed and escorted 2-3 of the girls working and sat them outside on the curb in-front of the place. 1 or 2 of the officers came in to retrieve the girl bags and belongings so they can put some more clothes on. Officers also searched the backroom / kitchen and employee-only female restroom. Officers also inspected paperwork at the front counter while questioning the mamasan. An officer also inspected the t-shirt on display hanging above the front-counter and questioned the mamasan about it. I came out a few moments later to take a vape break to see what was happening outside. Girls were still seated on curb with 2 cops standing watch waiting for the other 2 officers inside. Meanwhile I noticed a girl on her way in to start her shift. 2 of the girls that were cuffed got put into a cruiser and hauled away. I went back inside and sat down at my table. My friend told me while I was outside the mamasan got a citation / ticket. When the tea refill came I asked the girl, what happened? She replied, I almost got arrested. I asked how? She said, one of the cops claimed she was doing shows, she denied it. Cops says he saw her through the glass, she denied it again and said she never does shows. Cops says a guy (customer) pointed her out. My friends and I were like "yeah, right. " Good thing she was let go, I believe she was the girl who just started her shift. That cop was an a**hole.
Left 168 at around 9 pm and stopped by Lu. It was dead and no police action. Called it a night.
I'd like to know what's going on, if anyone has any info.
From what I have heard the cops (gang unit) hit 368,168, Starz and Girlz at the same time. Girls arrested at each location. Apparently they used undercover because some of the girls were covered when they came in but were arrested anyway.
I heard 1 girl from 368 and 2 from Girlz were arrested. Not sure on the other 2 places.
Good info. Thanks. This explains the crowd of guys in no hurry to leave there the other night.
Been months since I've been to Lu. I stopped by only 2 times. Last time a girl sat and talked and was really friendly. At the time, she told me only shows in the evening. Take it for what it's worth, just something I heard.
Cheers. God let's hope none of these girls gets in too much trouble.

Well this is my first post in years. Anyways, I had never been to a cafe shop until recently going for my first time. I was blown away by the looks and the outfits. On a serious note, this is such a nice, tame atmosphere for some harmless adult fun. I mean it's basically just some eye candy and female company / flirting while hanging and coffee. Royally pisses me off that govt agents (LE) come around to ruin shit. These pigs are on our tax dollar and ruin the healthy fun of adults where no one is being harmed. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Well, the Asian don't speak up, so they pound on the Asian. If they harass a black owned or Hispanic owned place, they know the consequence. I just wish those Vietnamese get involve more with politics so they can stop this kind of harassment. Who said racially targeted harassment by pigs are no longer exist in the US?

They don't want another Saigon, Asian corruption, Asian gangs. Before, it was Irvine, and now Arcadia. Remember the tanning salons? They totally got rid of it and Westminster MP's are subject to random inspections.

Those are things I hadn't considered, though I think crime is going to exist regardless, and I'd prefer to have the entrepreneurial gang activity providing a valuable service versus the kind of crime that exists from tweakers and vagrants. A free society with healthy outlets like this helps everyone. Consider the girls and support staff of places like this who are able to make money, for example. But I agree that there are an abundance of the nosey, nannying types of people out there who want to report to a nannying govt everything they see. I was reading a Yelp review the other day of these types complaining and trying to make a case that HE creates a dangerous environment for straight CMTs. Well lets see, there are strip clubs and then there are family restaurants that serve alcohol, and somehow the people who want to see tittays don't show-up at the restaurant / bar for tittays. Maybe if there was less nannying you wouldn't have clients going to straight CMTs trying pursuing sensual services. Anyways, just my thoughts and venting a bit I guess.
If you have time and care to, please feel free to send me a PM and fill me in on any details about the background of these places (or you could also post here if you care to, I just didn't want to hijack the thread).
fill me in on any details about the background of these places
The guy who opened the first of these coffee shop was well interviewed and archived on the internet. I don't know more than that. He went on to open at least two more, called King (in Vietnamese or Chinese) I, II and III. I've been all of them. One of them has servers in bikini. One has pretty young college girls in tame dresses like a short skirt. The other one has hot and mature gangster girls, with a very gangster atmosphere. I don't know if they are actually gangsters. If you are a gangster boss, and you have a hot mistress, you want to put her there to show off and being watched all the time while you are minding your business. He doesn't need an alcohol license and there's not much the city can do about it. His idea gets copied many times.
Asians are the dominant race in Westminster at 48%. Arcadia is made up of 60% Asians. Over a decade, Asians in Irvine increases from 30% to over 40%. First, it was the Taiwanese, followed by the Chinese and then Koreans. There are numerous Chinese mayors along the I10 and 212. The Asians are fully aware of their voting powers.
Locals don't want these cafes irrespective of race. For Asians though, it's not that much about religion, but the effect is the same as letting white churchgoers in charge. The other thing is the all-important real estate value. In many Asian cities, after decades of booming cycles, houses in downtown worth more than houses in the suburbs.
The Asians know that gangsters don't discriminate against business opportunities. They will step in every illegal business when the law doesn't protect them. Prostitution, gambling, drugs are historical main revenue sources. Tanning salons were full service. MP offering HJ is illegal. The original cafes are as legit as bikini bars. Shows are not legit. The only way to keep gangsters at bay is to eliminate illegal businesses. There's no need for their service.

I would challenge the very last statement only. No need for the services of tanning salons, HE-friendly MPs, etc. I mean, if these places are popular, obviously there is a need / want for them. And in these places, girls and support staff can earn money, and customers can have healthy outlets / atmospheres. At the very least, cafes like these are more tame than a strip club, so to attack them makes ZERO sense to me. This is simply low-hanging fruit for the automatons / Matrix dwellers who don't like to think. I mean, if these people were so thorough with other issues, they'd have to deal with homelessness, poverty, drug addiction, etc. For example, when there are no good opportunities for the blue-collar or non-technical populace, what is that populace supposed to do, other than hop onto welfare and become a huge drain on society? When more freedom is present, there is much more room for entrepreneurship and all the opportunities for earning money that go with it. Some of these girls are single mothers. With something like this, they can support themselves; Without it, they will be on welfare, and their children at greater risk to become future welfare mamas and criminals. Just my. 02.
