It was not Dawn's; it was not Kayla.
Dawn's was on a NW corner.
The place you describe sounds like Olivia's, which was on the SW corner
of 8th and Edgehill.
Although it was not 'closest to town' neither was Dawn's.
There were at least 4 other parlors (not counting Dawn's) closer to downtown.

Olivia's was on a NW corner with road off 8th to the right of the building. Kayla was more brown haired than dark haired, young fresh and cute and her sister owned the place.
