I think you hit a cord with a lot of us on this board. I related with most responses, especially as Avenue noted that this hobby is a very solitary event. I think everyone will agree that mongering is addicting and has affected our lives, good and bad...perhaps mostly bad. Even when I look at my next car purchase, I have considered what vehicle would offer the best mongering experience. After doing this for 15+years, I too feel the need to get out, but am not ready for many reasons. Good luck and best wishes on your retirement.

This is an awfully solitary hobby. We go out alone, we score (or don't score) alone, we get busted alone, we go home alone.

There is an addictive element to the hobby, whether or not you pursue SWs, escorts or both. There is also a certain cyclical element that I'm now inclined to break.

I am more sad that I can't get a woody more often. I'm not that crazy about getting old. I've been doing this for a long time. Longer than most of you. On occasion I wish I had married a few of the old girlfriends, but mostly I loved the chase. It is not for everyone, but it is for me. I'm sad something like AIDS came along. I'm glad I've only been busted once. I'm sad that there are crack and meth addicts instead of good ole heroin addicts. I'm not addicted to Ho's, but maybe I once was. Now I do it more for fun than need and only rarely. You have to ask, is this what I want out of a relationship?
I understand self-recrimination and depression about hobbying, but wish I knew then what I know now. That I like pussy and this is not the worse thing you can do. Have some fun with the girls and try not to get robbed or diseases.
Hopefully you find a nicer path in life and don't find you were born or made emotionally handicapped. Is that too strong a term?

Hey Barista, I came to a thought that we do this hobby because of women?

The basic strolls are as follows:

Denny Park/Hurricane Cafe:
The area around Denny Park is pretty active, but inconsistent (some nights lots of activity, others none). Check the side-streets north/northeast of the park - it's mostly low to mid track. SWs used to be pretty frequent around the Hurricane Cafe (W of Denny Park), but I haven't seen any lately. This map provides a good overview of the area:

Pac Hwy S/International Blvd/Aurora/Hwy 99:
Hwy 99 is a long strech of state hwy known for SWs. In the southend of the county (S Seattle, Tukwila, Seatac, Federal Way) it's known as International Blvd/Pac Hwy S. In central and north Seattle it's referred to as Aurora Ave or simply hwy 99. It's pretty much continguous except of a long strech between the south Seattle industrial area continuing into the central Seattle area.

If you want to stay in the Seattle area cruise between the Aurora Ave bridge (about 2 miles north of downtown Seattle) and around 250th st N. This actually takes you into Shoreline and eventually Lynnwood. You can actually cruise all the way into Edmonds and beyond depending on how far you want to go. The quality and quanity of SWs on this long stroll is quite variable some nights there's lots of activity with both low, mid and a some high-track SWs, other nights there's little going on. This maps shows a good general starting point if you are heading north:

The south area of the stroll is begins/ends about 12 south of downtown Seattle (as you probably noticed there's a seperate message board for Fed Way and Pac Hwy S). If you live in Seattle and don't have all night I'd skip this stroll, but it's certainly worthwhile if you have lots of time/gas. I actually haven't cruised this area much, but from what I've read activity and quality tends to be sporadic. This maps shows a good general starting point if you are heading south on hwy 99:

Just a couple of quick corrections and additions to Eastlake's stroll guide. The Aurora Stroll actually starts at the north edge of downtown at Denny Street. This is home to the two most prolific strolls: Hostess and AAA. Hostess is from Denny Way to Mercer Street on the eastside of Aurora. AAA Stroll is one block west of Aurora but the same side streets as Hostess.

Going north from here you have the Ho'ver Pass Stroll from the bridge to 45th, the Winona Stroll in the area by the 7-11 and Winona Street, the Oak Tree Stroll from about 95 to 105th, and the KK Stroll from 125th to 145th. 145th is where you should turn around. Virtually no SW's anymore past this point and the Shoreline cops are tough. You could go all the way to 205th but it's basically not worth your time.

Well it's been a long time (since Ariel I believe) since I've stumbled across such a perfect pair of tits as I found tonight. Found a WSW named Jade near 95th on Aurora. I saw her out earlier in the day but there was too much LE and traffic to make the snare safely. I'm glad she decided to come back out. Yeah, I basically included the Hostess stroll as part of the Denny Park/Hurricane stroll since Hwy 99 (Aurora) emerges in downtown just N of the Hurrincane.

I also agree with your point about stopping right around 145th. North of 145th you leave Seattle and enter Shoreline, and I haven't seen anything beyond 145th in ages.

And just FYI there's a N segment of Hwy 99 in Everett that supposedly has some action, but that's so far north I wouldn't even bother. At that point you're better off checking the Everett board.

Went out for a blow last night. Hit the pac hwy. Well, there was a BSW convention going on. I decided (usually against my better judgment) to stay around and see what I could find. The girls move around a lot. Right now Pacific Highway seems to be the hot spot. Sometimes it's Pacific Avenue in Tacoma. On weekends its the AAA. LE has been actively harassing SW's the KK strip for a couple of years now. Once they get SOAP'ed they can't come back for a couple of years.

You haven't heard much about Aurora activity here. Two years ago you could hit the KK Stroll at 2pm and see as many as 12-15 girls most everyday. Now you can cruise from Denny all the way to 145th and if you're lucky you'll see two, and usually those will be older junkie types.

On Friday and Saturday nights there is still considerable action in the southern most 4 blocks of Aurora near downtown in the AAA and Hostess Strolls, but that's about it. It's okay. Pac Highway is closer for some of us and only about 20 minutes from Aurora.

In some ways it's probably better because the action is closer together. Aurora Av is a very long street to cruise. I think Aurora av is even longer than El Cajon blvd in SD. The good thing is that you don't have to drive as much. Before the the SW's would move around a lot on ECB. This made it harder for the cops to bust them.

I drove the Blvd for a few days in March and did not see a lot of action. I did meet a friend on my last night but it was tough.

Vancouver is still the best bet around.

San Diego has been really disappointing this year. So far there has only been 3 or 4 good WSW's all years. The really irritating thing is that they have been picky and or expensive.

Very quiet tonight overall, not much out and didn't see many hobbiests circling either. Cruised up Rainier twice and surprisingly saw nothing out, it was like a curfew was imposed, that place was deserted. I swung through Denny and decided to cruise up the short strip on the Hostess side of Aurora to loop back through, when I did I saw three gals that made my eyes pop out. I'm not sure what you mean by 'anywhere'. Last night I cruised AA from 155th all the way down to 40th and saw nothing. It might be because it was to early (around 6pm), but it seems to me that AA isn't nearly as busy as it used to be - some nights it's active, others you don't see anyone.

I also cruised the Denny/Hurricane area last Sunday around 10pm and saw nothing. This is surprising because in the past it seems Sundays are usually pretty busy in that area.

I have have a hard time finding cute sw for a year. I cruise south 99 from 272 heading north. I cruise aaa and hostess on weekends and Denny and Hurricane. It is normal I find nothing on a Fri or Sat nite worth picking up.

I passed through DP area last Sunday Eve about 7 PM and spotted what I thought was a civilian on Harrison near 9th. Nicely dressed, hair up short heels, sun glasses and a nice smile. By anywhere I mean that if hookers are out plying their trade, just about every square inch of the section between 145th to Denny I've seen or picked up a hooker before. I divide Aurora into sections: Hostess Stroll - first few blocks of Aurora; Ho'ver Pass - Bridge to 45th; Winona - Green Lake to 80th; Oak Tree - 90th to 105th; KK - 125th to 145th. But you're right, lately Aurora has been quite slow. But when things pick up again, which they will, you can find hookers just about anywhere on Aurora if your timing is right.
