Just discovered this site and am suprised by all the attention that is focused on "The Ave". Always thought I was alone out there.
To answer that last question on action further up on Frankford, my experience as been very little pickings along there.
Wow, Ivanna (Avvona according to her) is now blond. Have to see that.

Welcome, Texaco Tim. One of my friends said that you can get action all of the way up to Frankford and Rhawn, although I have never seen this before. I will have to do some more investigating and report back to all of you. I have noticed that the scene at Torresdale and Magee has dried up since I talked about it on here a couple of weeks ago. I hope I didn't mess anything up for anyone.

Welcome to the board, you’ll find you are hardly alone. If you actually look at other drivers (as opposed to the SW, and looking out for LE) you will see that there are quite a few others out there. Someday pull over where you can watch 2-3 girls work you’ll be amazed at the number of us out there. Try near the 7-11 or the McDonalds parking lot works well, when the weather if warmer take a nice walk down the k (in the daytime of course).
The absolute best place for a stroll like this is AC at night.(you can read my postings on the AC board)

I have seen quite a few girls but almost always it just north of there (just north the pennypack creek). There is really cute WSW that walks with a limp, who gives a great CBJ for 30. I haven't seen anything in the downtown area in quite some time-it is either hopping or it isn't. I would just recommend that anyone that goes looking for a SW in CC to be careful because there are a lot of TS especially in the Gayborhood.

If it is about love, then it is about trying to do what is best for the other person. And certainly that involves rehab or treatment or whatever is needed. But it does not have anything to do with sex, because any relationship with a SW will involve a lot less (or none) of that than when it was pay-to-play.
I disagree about not seeing them again -- I would agree about not seeing them on a "professional" level, because that is treating a person as a commodity which you would never do with someone you love.
Someone wrote about the nightmare of coming home to find your home looted. That isnt a big deal -- possessions can be replaced. However, the big nightmare is a year (or a week) later seeing someone you love addicted again and back on the street.
But if it is really love, then that pain is really about yourself ... the other person isn't really worse off than before.
So, to answer my own question, of course a relationship is possible. What that relationship will involve is another issue. I imagine it will involve a lot of small victories, and many defeats (aka relapses). It could even involve just accepting the person as they are, addiction/lifestyle and all, if it is too hard for them to beat.
T-Player, that was a very thoughful post. I sense you are speaking from some personal experience in this matter. I also have had times when I wanted to be able to help but realize that it is a long and hard road back. I do not think there are many success stories out there.

Layah - Also goes by Leigha is in jail, will be there for the next 3 months unless someone wants to bail her out.
Crystal - Is in rehab as far as I know, was with her Monday and she told me if all went well she would be checking in Tuesday, phone is going straight to VM so I assume she made it. Hope she did, there is still hope for her.
Rachel - Talking about short curly dark haired Rachel, I know some have been asking about her including myself, according to Crystal she moved away from the area, do not know where and I do not know how reliable that info is so if you have anything else please add to this.
If anyone has info to the contrary please post.

Thanks Texas Tim ... today I was thinking about it and I realized of course a relationship is possible...it is a connection between two people.
Now, that is a completely separate issue from whether one of those people will ever be cured of a drug addiction, or whether they will stop doing what is necessary to support that lifestyle.
A bond means that when the other person is cut you bleed. There is enormous potential for pain here ... that will be part of what is shared ... if nothing else, past pain.

I don't think you can generalize ... it depends on the particular individual ... who wouldn't fall for an intelligent, beautiful, charming, sensitive, caring, sweet person?
This person could be a doctor, a waitress, a programmer, or ... could be, for reasons beyond their control, working in a less desirable profession and hating it.

I hit the K stroll last night a little earlier than usual, with predictable results.
