I think this is good advice. While I would never say never, and most women we pursue including nonAMP women aren't the "right" one anyway, I would especially caution against falling for an AMP girl.

First, remember these women grew up in another culture, one that you probably don't understand, and that may lead to clashes in understanding. They are usually not well educated, and often don't speak English. So, communication is a problem at more than one level.

Second, many of these women have emotional baggage you don't want to take on. Some sex workers have their heads on right, and they can separate clearly their work lives and their real love lives, but many are a mess. They entered into the sex work, because they couldn't do anything else, and they deal with greed and lust on a daily basis. Not good qualities for a secure relationship.

Third, many of these women have addictions. At the very least, they are addicted to the money -- about 20k per month. But, in addition, they often have alcohol, drug, or gambling addictions.

Fourth, many of these women want to get a green card more than anything else. They may say they love you, but may have no real love for you. They may marry you and then dump you, as soon as they can, and, having gotten their green card, bring their real love (some Korean childhood sweetheart) to the US and marry them. Yes, it happens all the time.

How do I know all this. Well, I am still involved in two AMP women, on two continents. Not married to either, but emotionally entangled, and it's a mess. I am working out how to let them loose. I have spent tens of thousands supporting one of them -- doctor's and dentist bills, car repairs, etc., and undoubtedly, I have supported her gambling addiction (incidentally one of the worst addictions, with a very high suicide rate, ultimately).

Sex is great, but at the end of the day, sex is only part of the glue that has to hold two people together. You gotta have a lot more there, too.

LOS ANGELES - A Rancho Palos Verdes couple, who are accused of running a prostitution operation out of an Inglewood massage parlor, were sentenced on Monday to 18 months in prison on federal tax evasion charges and agreed to forfeit $2.8 million.

Sun Hi Lee, 56, and Wilford Johnson, 77, who owned Oriental Acupressure, still face state charges of pimping and pandering, but each pleaded guilty in April to one federal tax evasion count. The husband and wife allegedly didn't report $255,000 in income from their 2001 federal tax returns and failed to pay the government nearly $82,000 in income taxes.

Under the plea deal, they agreed to forfeit $2.4 million in cash and $356,000 in bank funds that were seized in an Internal Revenue Service investigation, which also involved the Sheriff's Department's vice unit.

Officials said Oriental Acupressure had roughly 100 to 150 customers a day and clients paid "house fees" ranging from $50 to $90 to buy time with prostitutes. Customers would pay additional fees directly to the prostitutes, who claimed to be a massage therapist or acupressure technician.
