There is never any time that any Crown Vic, or for that matter any dark colored Chevy SUV, is mistaken for a civi vehicle in my rear view mirror. ALL are assumed to be unfriendly, until proven otherwise. One of the reasons I often don't get a good look at the girls is that something unknown is in the rear-view, off to the side or on a side street.

I'm just saying.

Took a trip down the ave after work. It was pretty dead. No one is out even those the weather clear out and nice and cool. I saw a Wilmington PD park near the gas station.

I was parked a good bit away from the doors in the area of Main Event near the mall. A white brunette walked over to me, smiled and asked for a cigarette. She was wearing a bright red shirt and had on red lipstick. She was polite and coherent. I didn't have any smokes, and then she asked for one dollar. And kept smiling. She was nice about it, so I gave her $2. She had a bit of a limp, it looked like one of her ankles was bothering her. After she left me, she wandered around the parking lot and about 5 minutes later I saw her with a guy that had emerged from a nearby store. They got into his vehicle and left the area. But I should have at least asked her a few questions and gotten her number.

That girl might in fact be up for something but my guess it's just one of the crew.

Pan handlers can have pimps as well, they usually drop them around the city to work. Usually in exchange they live in a house with food and a keg of beer, and or other party favors.

I used to live in a major city on the west coast, when ever I sat in a certain coffee shop I'd see all the pan handlers come to get their corner assignments from the king of the bums. Interesting to say the least.
