Been reading the recent posts on BSG. When I was going to HPU and working in DT a few years ago, cycling my bike through downtown, I've seen her hanging out with her pimp at the bus stop, all the way to mongers picking her up in broad daylight (observed mostly older white dudes).
Heck, I used to see her walking around Fort Street and she used to always smile at me. I admit, I had a thing for her, well knowing she was a SW but ignorance is bliss.
Never mongered with BSG but have been reading reports on her for years. From the doodoo bits, mixed service and her going back to school. BSG will always be an enigma to me.

Don't know if she plays but there's always a first.

Been driving by Pali Longs streets late nights, but really haven't been much to see. There's a trans with black dress by the bridge a couple of nights. Always waving at passing cars. Last night there was a heavyset girl who may have been white with someone across the street that looked like her pimp. And for 2 nights saw a girl with blond hair on a bike and she glanced toward the car but didn't stop her bike. Anyone knows of this mysterious girl on a bike in this area? Even without the intention of partaking these drive-bys have become enjoyable.

Looks like Kacey is back and attempting to find dates again.
She used to be on my list of girls I wouldn't mind dating until she got her attitude with me. Apparently, when I 'laughed' because she told me she would give me her phone number, I asked for how long? Since the last couple of times her phone was stolen from her. She then bitched me out about how I shouldn't laugh until I lose as many phones as she did. Then she said she didn't want to date me, and left my car.
This actually has been the 2nd or 3rd time she's done this to me. Apparently, when I say something 'offensive' to her, she'll tell me she doesn't want to date me and leaves the car. I usually tell people it's not the equipment, it's the photographer. But for photos like this, it's the equipment. You could probably spend about 10% of what the Canon stuff cost and get a decent consumer camera with a long zoom that'll get you images that, for all practical purposes, are nearly as good (as long as you have decent light). And you'll have a nice travel camera for your next big trip.

As mentioned earlier, you can get pretty good shots without spending thousands of $$$ on equipment. But you'll never be able to get a shot like this from a phone.

I've mentioned in the past that I work in media and have seen fellow news camera men at AMP establishments like Empire. Being the sly photojournalist ninja I am, they've never seen me. Ha! Nah, no shame. Once a monger, always a monger, I always say.
I posted pics of Waikiki SW patronizing mongers before and thought about doing a photo series on local ladies of the night (mahus included) in DT and Waiks with my sport safari lenses or shooting from the hip with a wide angle. Seeing pics by RD and others has compelled me to follow through with the idea. Blocking out the faces of fellow mongers, of course.
Maybe all the DT forum shooters should team up an quadrant certain areas. I've got chased out by drug dealers shooting regular street candids off Hotel, etc. Dangers involved, sure but it's never stopped me from getting the shot. Huge back pack with quick gear access and a bicycle (for easy escape). Or just be discreet and ninja. Watever works. Just be street smart and safe.
