Maybe most of the regulars already know this, but thought I would mention it anyway. If you have to reply (some trick in a #) most time you should.
Get an email LOL. In your email app find the full header scroll to the bottom and scan up until the first IP address copy and paste it into your browser's search box after you have typed whois like this: (whois 178.245. 1. 354) this will reveal the originating country when you see China Russia Belize ect.
Ect understand they are pishing.
The sites they direct you to are tapping your PC, phone, tablet, work computer or whatever you use. Even if they don't get any usable info they may bot your device and use it in a cyber attack.
I replied to one last month great picks interesting proposal. Was directed to a site to have my information verified, my brain went WARNING! I stopped went to the full header found out it came from Mainland China, and aborted. No 2/3 times a day get badgered buy this guy.

Yes, if she replies by asking you to write to her separate email address immediately, you've just given your email address to a marketing / spam list.
As for the ads with long spaces, they are not merely dudes. They are a ring of programmer / scammers who have developed software to automatically create fake CL ads by copying text from real ads in other cities, and haven't quite got all the software bugs worked out yet. Answer them and you're giving your email address and / or phone number to third party marketing / spam resellers.
The best chances for a real ad: Copy a sentence or phrase out of the middle of the text, paste it into a separate google or bing search window. Place quotation marks front and back of it, and SEARCH. If it's a fake, duplicate sentences will show up in other CL ads in other cities, as well as on other dating websites. FLAG IT! Note, this is not 100% successful, the ad you're reading could be fake, just not yet duplicated in other cities of the world yet.
Good luck in your search. And ladies, get some local stuff into the middle of your ads, it's the most difficult thing for the spammers to reproduce.
