This is a tip and a request for help for those of you that like to go cruising in Boston. I have met with 2 girls named Diana and Leah for 2-girl specials a couple times and they were both great! What they can do if they suspect a misdemeanor was committed, but not actually witnessed, is to file a petition with the criminal clerk magistrate. You'll be notified by mail to come in for a hearing with the clerk to determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a criminal charge. In a case like this, no matter what reason you have, they will most likely feel that just being with her is sufficient evidence. Then you'll be given a court date for arraignment before a judge. At the arraignment you'll be able to plead guilty or not, and probably be offered a plea bargain. If you plead not guilty, they'll most likely give you another court date for trial.
If you're good, you can get the case thrown out in the arraignment and just have to pay court and lawyer fees. But don't expect it to be as easy as claiming you were just giving her a ride. You'll just be insulting the court's intelligence, which is never a good idea. It can be done though, I did it about ten years ago. But even if you get the case dismissed, it still shows up on your record... you have to go through the hassle of getting your record expunged to remove it.

When the same thing happened to me, I had many sleepless nights wondering if a summons would ever appear in the mail. It never did. Of course that was way back in 1998. I know things have changed now in some ways, but you might get lucky. The problem is, they could wait for a month before they decide to summons you or not. In my experience, I was joking around with the cop. I think he liked me and made a note not to pursue it. When he walked up to my car, he tapped on the window and asked if I was done. I replied "If I say 'no' will you let me finish?" He said "Nope". And I said "then I guess I'm done". He had a good laugh, took the girl back to his car, and came back and got my 4-1-1. I never admitted to anything. He let me drive away, and I never heard about the incident again.

Ho Hunter is exactly right. Remember that if you're convicted of a crime your f-cked but not if it is thrown out. You are on the right path with getting a good lawyer. Getting someone with the contacts to get it thrown out and reduced in a magistrate hearing (either way you'll still have to pay) is key. Unless you are someone with worse issues on your record, then it is well worth the money get out of it. Having a criminal record with that kind of a conviction can ruin your life, unfortunately. But the right attorney can get it essentially washed (unless you run for President.) You may be able to do it yourself if you go in with the attitude of "I am so sorry, I want to make amends" and pay up while saving the court the trouble of a hearing. But you want it reduced to something that isn't going to show up in a background check, and personally I wouldn't take any chances, I would opt for the best lawyer I could find.

2. If you get a summons or you are contacted at all, get a lawyer that specializes in cases like yours. You'll find a few if you Google lawyers Boston prostitution. If you are charged, a good lawyer can get it thrown out or reduced.

Mr. Johnson, a similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago in a different city. I was caught by two LEO on foot patrol with a SW in my car. We weren't caught in the act, but since we were getting ready she was naked from the waist down when they tapped on the window. It wasn't fun dealing with the good cop / bad cop routine. One was acting like he wanted to kill me, the other was pretending to be my minister; I knew neither was out to help me but I kept my cool and was respectful. They inspected my wallet, car, phone, ash tray, everything. As for the SW, she got searched and my donation was taken from her before they told her to beat it. Then they fucked with me some more before telling me to never come back to Dodge. When I was getting my act together the donation blew off the hood into the street. The bad cop said I dropped something so I picked it up; it was the only good thing that happened that day. I consider myself lucky, I was never charged or summoned. My car wasn't towed, I wasn't in the news, I didn't lose my job, my SO never found out, and I still have my license to carry. There's a lot of risk for mongers in this hobby. Be safe to all.

I know it's easy for me to say this, but try not to worry about it too much. I had a similar experience when I was detained by two undercover cops after leaving a girl's incall about a year ago. I posted an account of it in some other thread. If you search on my posts you can find it.
I gave them ZERO information about what I was doing there, but I had to give them my identification. I could have been summonsed, but wasn't.
Why? Because I had no prior criminal record (they ran a check right then and there) AND I said nothing incriminating. You, on the other hand, were caught with her pants down. Chances are they will just be content to bust your balls, but to be on the safe side, you might want to lawyer up. I did, and it was the most expensive fuck I've ever gotten: $500 for a one hour consult. You can find cheaper. Don't be afraid to negotiate, but until you get the summons in the mail, don't worry about it. As a matter of fact, there is nothing you can do in the meantime. But remember this: The more time that elapses, the weaker their case gets. Memories fade, people change jobs, die, and retire.
If they don't serve the summons within a couple of weeks, their case gets weaker with every passing day. If you have no prior record, and they didn't witness anything like the exchange of money for sex (technically they need to have witnessed or overheard an agreement for sex for a fee) they have to build a case on circumstantial evidence, which they don't want to do. Every police department has what is called a police prosecutor; a cop trained in the law. They might run the case by him, and he'll decide whether or not to go forward with a probable cause hearing. If the case is weak to start with, they won't bother. They have bigger fish to fry. They want slam dunks, which your case is not.
