As I got out of my car, I took not two steps and I hear a guy in the mid-size American SUV (not a Chevy or Dodge), two stalls over, say in a forceful voice... "You'd better be careful out here!" I take a few leaps back and he has his window down and I can see that he has a handheld radio, which to me doesn't mean shit, because hell... I have a handheld transceiver as I'm a pilot. They all look the same.

I step back and politely say, "Excuse me?" He gets forceful and raises his voice and starts babbling shit like, "We have 18 cameras out here and we see everything going on!" I say, "look man, I'm just going to get something to eat." Not really phased since I hadn't done anything wrong, I walked in and ordered some food, only to realize that I literally left my wallet in the car. I sauntered back out, opened my driver's side door and reached for my wallet, and the mofo makes a sarcastic remark this time... "Yeah sure, you were going to get some food!" I looked at him and said, "I'm sorry, but is there a problem here?" He gets belligerent, and I mean this guy was screaming at me through his window... "I've seen you in all the lots out here and we have 18 cameras and you'd better watch yourself!!!" Professionally, yet calm, I said, "Sir, I really think you must have me mistaken with someone else; I'm simply on my way home, and stopped here to grab a burger; good evening." He banters on mumbling some more shit, so I ask him if he's an officer?

He claims he's a SAPD vice and so I asked to see his badge. He pulls out a badge and as he's waiving at me, he argumentatively says, "You wanna' see my gun too?!?!?... or you wanna' call the chief?!?!?" I just said, "Look man, I'm not looking for any trouble, just wanna' have something to eat" ... and went back to pay for my food. I sat and ate, then on my out he was gone. I called my friend who's an APD sergeant to ask him about what had just taken place. He didn't answer because now it was after midnite, but hopefully I'll get ahold of him later today. I was chillin' by the wall finishing up my drink and I did notice this guy driving back n' forth on the track and I'm certain he saw me out in front, but never pulled back into the lot for further HARRASSMENT!!! I mean, wtf was I doing anyway?!? Absolutely Nothing!!!

I wanna call bullshit on this guy because of his forceful nature and simply blowing his cover, especially to someone who clearly wasn't mongering. It just struck me as odd that if he was indeed vice, why he'd be so belligerent and why he'd identify himself as LE to someone who wasn't doing anything close to being illegal?? If he was for real, you can thank this asshole for the reason why most people hate cops. If he was a fraud just trying to act tough, then Fuck Him! Well, fuck him either way, but would love to get some feedback from any LE or attorneys familiar with vice identification policies.

FWIW though... be careful out there! I'd actually be more scared if this guy was intimidating an officer because he'd be waaaaay more dangerous!!! Would love to file a complaint, but we all know what good that would do!

I hit HB at about 1am. First two passes, nothing. Went and got something to eat and headed back out a little after 2. More and more SWs out as it got closer to 3. Not able to position myself for any of them that I wanted.
Watched a batch of 5 or 6 BSWs wander into the McD lot on McFadden. Tried to talk to a few of them, one in particular was a cross of asian and black, but they all seemed to think I was LE. 2 of them actually chanted it as a rolled by!
I got frustrated and headed home.

One thing I saw a bit of that I've never seen before, was mongers getting out of their cars and walking to the SWs. A few inside parking lots and a few parking up the street and walking up the block towards the SW. Is this a night time strategy? I've never seen it during the day. I fail to see how getting out of my 2 tons of steel protection a walk into an unknown situation, is a good thing. Just my humble opinion.

If this guy was LE, perhaps he has seen you around and thinks he "knows" you are up to something, but has never been able to catch you at it. That could be very frustrating to him and he was "putting you on notice."

White guy, mid-late 40's, dark hair, no prominent facial hair, casual clothing, and very, very, very loud spoken... no exaggeration, his attitude was down-right hostile. He would have gotten a rookie to crap his pants. Not trying to say I'm bulletproof, just know how to keep my cool and think on my feet, which wasn't hard because I wasn't doing anything wrong to begin with.

He had a handheld, but like I said, anybody can buy a fucking scanner at Radio Shack. Flashed me a shield when I asked, but in a dark parking lot, I couldn't tell if it was real or out of a cereal box. It was silver though.

The vehicle was a late model Ford Explorer, looked pewter in color, maybe tan or silver. Had the upgraded alloy rims like you'd see on an XLT trim model, rather than the base steel wheels. Windows were limo tint all around. When he drove by on the track, I definitely could not see inside his vehicle. My concern is more about this guy's hostile attitude, he literally had veins popping out of his forehead and for someone supposedly carrying a weapon, cop or not, dangerous combination.

Look, if indeed he was vice, and he did happen to spot someone cruising the track and felt the need to say something... why not just give a mild warning that he's out looking for johns and to head on home - problem solved. Instead, his attitude charged me to wanna' blow his cover and tell every fucking monger and girl to watch out for him. Of course, there were no girls out so I didn't have that option. Besides, I go into that area to feed the homeless people all the time. I have every fucking right to drive through that town, even though I'm white, it doesn't give them the right to profile me and say since I'm white that I must be up to no good. Harbor is a major street that runs through many cities of all ethnicity's, so to say I can't be out there is a violation of my rights in so many ways.

My buddy told me that I should have asked for his name and badge number, but even at that, all he did was act like an asshole, so what good would wasting my time complaining do; nothing. To be honest, this is the kind of guy that might have gotten out of his car and pulled a Rodney King on me. Again, this is no joke, this guy was fucking intense!!! I hope his CO is reading this!!

If you encounter this guy, I would simply ignore him and get his plates and call SAPD immediately.

Saw a similar thing go down in Oceanside. Guy pulled someone over but I smelled fish.

The are a few stupid civvies out there who think they can stop the hobby by pretending to be public servants. They might as well try to shovel back the Pacific Ocean with a teaspoon.

In any event, whether he was or wasn't Uncle, next time you see him get his plates and let everyone know you have them and PM them to any of us who ask for them.

If this guy is legit he needs to be taken down a peg or two. And if he is a poser, well, he needs to see the inside of the Greybar Hotel. Impersonating an officer is not smart in a lot of ways.

I was wondering if there is any video cameras on Harbor blvd. The only cameras I have seen are the traffic camera's. It's hard for me say since I don't cruise harbor to often...?

Also on hazard in taco parking lot, cameras showed up when 7/11 opened right where U-turn in from harbor and in front of the store!

Spankys also has a camera on the street and sidewalk which vice periodically goes and checks the cameras! Thats what one of the employees told me!

The gas station on westminister has cameras all over too! On top of the building next to them and under the awning where you pump the gas!

I think I also saw some in front of that out of business carniciera on hazard where all the SW'S and the mexicans hang out! They got those little half circle balls in the ceiling where the phone is at!

Theres also some security guard or cop that post up across the street from camille st. By Mc faded st! I see him hiding between the cars sometimes with binoculars and a hand held radio!

It was silver though.[/QUOTE]He's a fake trust me on that. anybody can flash a badge. all real cops have to have a picture ID to go along with that badge. secondly vice cops don't work along they work in teams and don't rely on video cameras to do their work. there should be a supervisor or sergeant overseeing the vice unit. you could've asked to talk to his supervisor/sergeant about his conduct. if he was for real, a supervisor would've show up and explain it to you and showed you his picture ID and badge too.

If the guy was a real cop:

1. He has B's name (if lic. plates are registered to him)

2. The guy stated that he has seen B around.

3. SAPD is aware of this website

Ask yourself, what is the probability that vice wanted to fish out a suspected monger by making a story worthy encounter and waited for it to surface on this website? Theoretically they have a name, USASG alias, and documented activity (self admission and videotape).

As Hornilius said, LOTS of LE out last night. I saw several people get pulled over. I cruised for abour 4 hours. There were a few girls out. Early on, I saw Cherry who is a small cambodian girl. I gave her a ride the other night. She seemed cool but she is a very harden SW. Acting like a gang banger during conversation which was a real turn off for me. She was also hangin with a tall LSW with glasses. I like her a lot but have yet to be able to pick her up. there was another ASW that I tried to pick up at the JIB but she just bypassed me. There were a few BSW and one other WSW down by Westminster. I again was second best when trying to pick up the WSW. Lucky I was though as the guy who ended up picking her up at the gas station got pulled over by cops just after picking her up. Yikes!!

Anyway, I finally picked up Amber, 1/2 of the dynamic duo at about 4am. She is just the coolist girl. Great conversation talked about our kids. She indicated business had been slow. We went off and parked and had a good time. If you get the chance, you should help her out. You wont be disappointed. she did indicate that a sting occurred on Friday evening with some VICE so there is definitely some validity to B Malibu's encounter.

My friend told me to be really careful near Harbor and Mcfadden. There is a police substation called Western Division near the back of some Alertos restaurant. LE parked their cruisers right in the back parking lot. They had camera set up in Mcdonald's parking lot and on top of the street light poles. I don't know where he gets his source, but he was with them, and now he's with a different agency.

Rain = fewer girls and fewer LE.

I could really careless if they know who I am because I'm certainly not a menace to society. I mean honestly, what are they going to do, arrest me for parking in a public parking lot, eating at a public restaurant? There is no self-admission or any sort of direct information on this site that would hold water! No LE officer has ever harassed me in all the years I've rolled this track. I've been pulled over a few times with a girl in the car, but giving somebody a ride is not illegal, even if she is a known SW. I'm not out there to play cat & mouse; I'm out there to relax and I stay low-pro. Hell, half the time now, I just roll the track to get a bite to eat, have a smoke, and shoot the shit with some of the homeless guys. Like I said earlier, I'm not out there looking to make trouble. If a real LE wanted to harass me and scare me off the track, then fine, but like slugfest mentioned, I really think the guy was bogus. Who really knows and who really cares at this point. I've been on the track twice since then and have rolled past numerous marked B&W's and have not been tailed or questioned. LE's biggest weapon is their scare tactics, and for most people that's enough. I'm not anti-authority or trying to prove to anyone that I have the right to be somewhere, but I certainly don't stand in a parking lot all night like all the Mexicans and loiter - cops never seem to bother them. I park in discreet, out of sight places and mind my own fucking business; if that's a problem in SNA, then they should try to rewrite the fucking constitution. And btw... the few times I have been pulled over in SNA, the officers have always been pleasant and respectful as I had been to them. I'm the type of guy that if pulled over... I roll my windows down, turn off my vehicle and put my hands in plain sight and have all my information ready to go.

The video cameras are primarily there as a deterrent. The cops don't have real time feeds to the cameras. But there is the possibility that the business could call the cops. So there is the possibility that LE could pull in and surprise you when you are picking up a SW.

In my opinion the person in the parking lot was a private security gard or more likely a private citizen impersonating a police officer. This web site is not doing anything to cause harm to anybody, or inform LEO of anyhting they don't alredy know. All this is is a forum that discuses and displays photos (which are not illeagal to take or display publicly) of what is going on out there on the streets. What is happening on the streets is not a secret the police are well aware, we are not informing anyone of anything they did not already know. In my opinion the best thing to do if you are involved in a incident similar to this one is to ignor the person and just go about your business, do not even acknowledge the person and keep walking. If he was Leo he was undercover for a sting operation and he would not have said anything to you. Now if you want to get him in trouble and draw unneceary attention to your self confront him when he cannot prove he is Leo get his plate # and call Leo in front of him and tell them you have a person that is harassing you and impersonating a Leo they take that very serious and personal.
