My Mom was dirt poor when she had me at age 22 but she buckled down and went to nursing school and worked hard and raised me in a loving home. So sometimes life does have happy endings.
Sadly, we've seen too many cases where this just doesn't work and the poor kid ends up in foster care and then it makes you wonder why the poor child had to be dragged into a life of misery and neglect.

She needs something that gets her clean before she dies from the drugs.
Her boyfriend got arrested again for drug possession and he is sentenced mid month, as a repeat felon, likely he will go back to prison, so that deprives her of his help. Perhaps being a mom will give her a new sense of direction, but I would not hold my breath, if the choice is baby food or heroin we all know which she will go get first.
