So Bunny sent me the vid we took again with her phone. It's a little long (about 15 mintues) and the 5 minutes I took off my phone before it fucked up, So I guess she slow licked and sucked for 20 minutes before she got her reward.
I'm surprised it came out as good as it did. A $25 phone she bought thru Metro. Some name I can't even pronounce. I'll post it in a day or two.

Insurance thru the carrier or third party is best for when you break or damage the phone yourself.

The real fight is finding who has the cheapest deductible for when shit finally happens. SquareTrade has the cheapest deductible ($75). It's kind of too Late for Taxi now, but I recommend it for the sake of all of our phones in the future.
Edit : realized you were talking about battery damage. Yea, you're supposed to be covered for a year.
