So today while driving by ERS, saw way more cars out front than normal for the last few weeks. Also saw that big white Pickup with the Wisc plates that typically parks right in front of the door. As I slowed, I could see thru the tinted door that a couple of lights were on. Website has a different message. Rather than "opening soon" it said something more like. Working really hard to save our business and reopen. So maybe. The AMPs and CLV were dark dark. Might be an interesting time heading out on the ice and hoping it is safe and as fun of fishing spot as it had been a few months ago.

As soon as the AMP's moved in right on Main St. The established (ERS & CLV) should have predicted the end was near.

There is a time and place for everything-flashing "Massage" signs right on the main thoroughfare is an embarrassment to LEO and the general public-eventually someone is going to make a stand.

ERS was just a great place to relax-hopefully they will open again-but at a different location and hopefully soon.

As a long-time user of the Art of Massage nationwide, but particular in Michigan City Westward through MIL / Madison (since approx 1976), I would just like to add my history of these businesses. Back around early 80's, there was a few places in Rockford (Golden Hands was my favorite, when they were open in daytime) as well as Belvedere. Around late 81, early 82 Belvedere tightened things up for a while just like now. Didn't shut places down per se; however there was no finish available at either place, just massages, a bit of tease, then the horrible line we all hate "times up, thank you!" C'est before that time as a tad looser with rules, just hand but more roaming (but did not have showers available). ERS was no different than things were before the recent LEO involvement. Any other longtime hobbyists remember it my way? Good luck to all "out west. " Hopefully all works out and things get back to normal in Beautiful Downtown Belvedere!

If you check the website, they are now looking for donations to pay their legal bills. They also have taken the schedules down; they were keeping them up to date up until now. Looks like the government has their claws in pretty deep.

PN9.[/QUOTE]Even if they did re-open, I'm sure they would get a less than favorable reception from the community. They would have to relocate and given their legal troubles I doubt a landlord would allow them to sign a lease.

I think the chances of them making it through this and coming out operating on the other side is slim, but that said, wouldn't you think their fund raiser should have some incentives?
