The birth of Oxycontin helped perpetuate this national drug issue. My Purdue pharma buddies who promoted the drug we're making 100 k per quarter on top of their 90-100 k base, it was ridiculous money. The incentive was insane to push this medication. The stench of the aftermath lingers. Damn shame.
