Teri the Massage Therapist in Bill Ho post # 1247 . Icalled Teri on Sunday after her return to town. She called me back on Tuesday afternoon. Very nice, sexy voice and friendly. I got an appointment for Thursday at two. Teri called me at one to confirm the appointment. I leave the office and arrive at her Apt at five till two. She calls and says shes running late. She asks if we can make it 2:15 ? Yes I say. She lives 10 min from my office, so I set aside 1 1/2 hours for this appointment. At 2:30 , no Teri. I call and she is very sorry for running late. Asks me to please dont leave and is two min away. At 2:50 she calls and says "IM coming down to open security gate to let me in. Ten min later I get in my car and go back to the office hot, tired and surly. Ten min after I leave, she calls. I did not answer because I would have been very unpleasent.
That's too bad. I actually just signed onto this thread to look for Bill's post to get her number. Sorry you had that experience. Can't blame you for being pissed.

She did the same thing to me. I made an appointment for 7 PM. She told me she was just going around the corner to grab a quick sandwich and might be a few minutes late. I get a few phone calls starting with " I`m leaving the sandwich shop now", " I`m getting out of my car", ' i`m getting out of my car", AGAIN!!! LOL ) " I`m walking into my apartment now " etc.... She finally comes down to the gate about 8:15 and is quick to apologize. The only reason I stayed around so long was that voice of hers..........I had to see what this angel looked like. That, and I had a very stressful day at work and needed to let off some steam. I can`t even put into words what you missed by leaving. Absolutely the best massage I ever had. Most AMPS you go into, the massage you get is nothing more then a little rub here, a little rub there, stretch this, etc.... With her gifted hands, combined with the soft music and candles, Teri is in a class by herself

That last call that you did not answer was most likely her saying: " I just opened the door and you are not here." At least that was what she said to me. I had left after an hour and 15 minutes, but was less than a block away so I turned around, knowing what I would have missed.
Being retired, waiting over an hour did not bother me, since it made no difference to me where I was sitting doing nothing, at home or in my car in front of her house. That is in no way intended to defend her. Since it happened to me, you, and SpeedRacer as well, it seems that you only have a 60% chance of seeing Teri on time. If you are a working person, or are otherwise on a schedule, I would say that if she is 15 minutes late, she will be an hour and 15 late. You may as well leave. Just remember: It does not happen all the time and once you see her, and enjoy her excellent massage (oops. Body rub), you will be glad you made it.

I think everyone's time is important and should be respected. I would have a problem with any provider that was frequently late. A boss once said to me when I was a young man, "better an hour early than a minute late." That is kind of extreme, but it all comes down to respect. If you respect the other person's time, you will make your appointments on time. Once in a while, an emergency happens, but frequent lateness indicates an irresponsible attitude.

I dont hold grudges with providers unless they steal my money. Then its on. I simply had no more time as I had another appointment to attend. I was on time for it too. I am sad to hear that its a thing that happens more than it should with Teri. I may well use her service again. Who knows ? Not any time soon. I just wanted my fellow forum members to know. That is what this forum is about. I consult this forum before I go to any provider.

While reading todays sports section in the Tribune, I noticed the usual ads for massage places. Among them was a new place, Green Spa, located off Dale Mabry just north of Kennedy, behind a place called Habana Sandwiches. There was another AMP at this location before, but closed down right before The Super Bowl, for " legal reasons ". Anyway, I wanted to get inside to take a quick " lookie-look". Went inside and found the waiting area to be clean and very spacious. Mamasan finally appears and informs me it is $80 for one hour and she attempts to get me to get a massage while I was there. But I had time constraints and could not stay. Told mamasan I would be back at another time. Anyone else visit this location yet?
Went to Yoshiko looking for Mia, but she was on vacation. Was greeted by Chris, a tall, statueesque Korean. Body 8.5. Face 6, 5
Got good TS and maybe the best massage I've ever had. But she offered $ for HJ and $$ for FS.- and wouldn't budge a penny. I declined, tipped her $20 for the massage only and left.- probably only the second time I've ever price walked.
It's time to teach the greedy ones a lesson.

My theory is this: Customer traffic is down due to the economy, so some places are trying to make up for colume with higher prices. Anyone else think this is true? Yung at Spring has tried raising prices, too.

Actually the $$ for F/S there has been the going rate for some time now. At least a few years.

Yoshiko is the only place I've ever price walked. In fact, I've been to AMP's all over the country and this is still the most expensive AMP I have ever seen. You can usually expect good quality there, but for me its not worth it.
