Can only think of one or two reasons
There are definitely less guys going and spending a lot of money in the clubs as there used to be. Probably the general overall decline of St. Louis area has something to play in that.
A lot of the current problems with Dollies though seem to be more of a management issue than anything. Maybe the owner is just glad to have girls showing up to work at all so he puts up with them spending so much time in the dressing room or its just bad management or basically no management at times to push the girls to be on stage, follow rotation, and not hang out in the back so much.
Either he's their dealer (why they're busy back there) or they're just glorified bouncers. Weird that a strip club has no strippers out and about. How do they make their payouts? Maybe something else is going on in the building and the dancing bs is a cover for it? Wouldn't surprise me.
Is Miss Kitty's even open anymore?
Like my screen name indicates, I used to enjoy this place. But, the last couple of trips down, stopping by at 3-4 in the afternoon (prefer the day shift ladies), there's maybe 2-3 cars in the parking lot.
Too many times over the years I've been the only guy in the place, it's just not enjoyable. Like other have mentioned about the "good old days", what's it going to take to make these places busy again?

East side clubs are not what they used to be
These reports are so true. .... Are there any clubs left on the East Side that are interested in providing fun?....
Yes, the joy of visiting the East Side has been diminishing since sometime in the 1990's.
- The internet provides more free images and videos of women with no clothes, no need to go out or pay money to see them.
- Women often use the internet to contact guys with money, not as much need to do that in person.
- People are becoming more risk-averse. The news media love to sell their product by scaring people and it makes the area less attractive for both dancers and customers.
- People of all sexes are fatter and less active. We see that in clubs as well as elsewhere.
- Strip clubs are given a politically incorrect and unsavory image on TV. They are featured in TV episodes every night, usually with gorgeous women writhing about, gangsters lurking nearby, and crime or desperation almost always the theme. Truth is the women are not usually gorgeous, the guys you see don't often look like thugs, and crime, if present, is seldom readily visible. I don't know how drug use or selling compares to similar ordinary bars without stripping, but I doubt it's all that different. Complaints here say that the "dancers" don't dance and are bored, not desperate at all.
- Even more so than in the past, it's fashionable and politically correct for women to show off their bodies almost anyplace (I found myself following a pair of spike heels and an extremely short, swishing skirt through the kitchen section of a big box store last week) but not politically correct for guys to want to go someplace just to ogle. For both, it reduces the incentive to be in strip clubs.
- This is mostly a matter of personal taste. Used to be when a dancer took off her clothes you saw a dancer with few or no clothes. Now you may see purple dyed hair, hardware in tender places, and "art" almost anywhere. Point is that few guys will fail to tip a very attractive dancer stageside because she doesn't have tattoos or nipple rings, but some will object to such "decorations" and fail to come up and tip, and it diminishes the customer's desire to come back and see more "decorations". But try and tell the dancer that you are not tipping because of such things and your rep in the dressing room and mileage for the rest of the visit will hit bottom instantly, I suspect.
I have some extremely fond memories of experiences in East Side clubs but those kind of experiences have tapered way off in recent years. (Also have some memories of dumb mistakes and poorly invested cash and time; that's called live, learn, and Read The Friendly Boards.).

Sometimes You Have to Ask
I bought a number of beers, but had little luck getting anything more than a nice lap dance at a table. I sat at the stage at Dolly's and had some very public. Very sloppy, knuckle-deep play at the stage from a shorter black dancer. But she never invited me to join her behind the beads. (WTH?
The fact that she let you finger her at stage I think was her non verbal invitation for even more fun. These days if you are interested in taking a girl to the back at Dollies you're just better off asking her than waiting on her to ask you. If you wait on the girl to ask, you may be waiting for a very long time and leave disappointed. Pretty much all the girls in there are willing to go "behind the beads" but not all of them are the types to straight out proposition a guy about it. I know some guys don't like asking the girls but it is what it is. I generally try to open the conversation up in a non explicit manner and mention I'd like to have more fun in the booth with the girl. Then they'll either take the hint and say what's available or ask what I have in mind.
Dollies day shift Fri. Sept. 30
Been to Dollies a couple times at night, never during the day. Went into day about 2 pm. 10 cars in parking lot. 8 girls on duty. THey were actually going to the stage (most of them), but some just sat there and some actually danced.
3 dollar door charge. Was there for probably 20 min before someone asked if I wanted a drink. 3 blonds, 3 brunettes, 2 black girls. I'm partial to blondes. Heidi, Shy, and Cookie. Got some friendly stage action from Heidi, behind beads was not offered.
I've heard a lot of good things abotu Shy, but she was very busy, never went on stage but was always with a guy, although I didn't see her go to the back just entertaining in the front. Went to stage with Cookie. Nice stage action but not as good as Heidi.
She asked if I wanted company when she got off stage and I said yes. We started talking business. First she tried the old, how much money you got trick. Fail. Next she asked how much I spent last time. I told her. 8, for FS. She said that was cool and asked if that's what I wanted to do. I said yes, and she went back to clean up. When she came back out and asked if I was ready I said no. I told her that I heard things were cheaper during the day. I didn't really intend to bait and switch her, but I.
Just got to thinking while she was in the back. She quickly said she do it FS. 5. I was surprised how easy it was to get her to come down! I told her I didn't want to wear a condom for BJ. She agreed. Once we got in the back she said " I can deepthroat.
You if I put a condom on" and tried to put it on, I told her no need to deepthroat, just keep sucking it without condom. Then she said "Just be honest, you don't want to wear a condom for anything do you?" I said I had no problem wearing one for sex. I get the feeling bareback sex was on the menu at a higher price probably, but I wasnt interested in that. She felt really good. Didn't even need to lube up. She asked for a. 1 tip when finished. I gave her. 05 instead. She seemed a little disappointed and bolted out of the beaded area without waiting for me to finish getting dressed.
I've head a lot of complaints about places going downhill lately. But I've always been very pleased with service at Dollies. Today 6 out of the 8 girls were very attractive to me and I suspect the 2 that I didn't find super attractive would have been pretty cheap so I wouldn't rule them out either! She said she usually works nights, but is getting ready to move to Michigan so she's working overtime. I love Dollies!
