Not to pile on, but it seems we're in another lull on the east side. I specifically only monger in strip clubs now. Street walkers are too much of a gamble for me and backpage has the potential of walking into a buzz saw.

Really wish the SC scene would pick up some more. Blondie's had some potential with the amount of talent they have there at times, but quantity does not equal quality. Wise guys and cheeks are just depressing with how little action there is there. Roxy's in Brooklyn just cut their hours back to 7 p-4 a Tu-Sat. They've also rebranded PT's as PT's,original. It seems they are doing what they can not to shut the doors permanently.

There are definitely less guys going and spending a lot of money in the clubs as there used to be. Probably the general overall decline of St. Louis area has something to play in that.

A lot of the current problems with Dollies though seem to be more of a management issue than anything. Maybe the owner is just glad to have girls showing up to work at all so he puts up with them spending so much time in the dressing room or its just bad management or basically no management at times to push the girls to be on stage, follow rotation, and not hang out in the back so much.

Then the guys quit coming around at all. Soon, the clubs will close, someone else will take it over, but with the same mentality.

The clubs should lower the door fee,2-3 dollars a head, and make sure there is a dancer on stage all the time, and no hanging out in the back, with a DJ, bartender, or bouncer. They can get there's after the club closes.

Was offered FS for $$ from Tuesday dayshift. Nice to know that extras can be had here. Didn't have enough time today, but the girls here were much better looking than PH, PTs Classic, Roxy's or CRC that I've seen lately. I think I've found a new favorite club.

A thing to remember about Dollies is that along with being a strip club it is a bit of a "hang out" joint for long term club regulars and others. If a guy is sitting by himself at Dollies its most likely because he either wants to or that the girls know he's not going to spend any money with them.

My last visit to Dollies the place was slow and the girls weren't spending much time on the stages but I didn't have any difficulty finding some pleasant company. You may need be a little proactive and go up to the bar, make good eye contact with the one your interested in while you're ordering a drink, maybe say "hello" and then take it from there.

A few weeks ago, I basically said I didn't even know if Washington Park was worth the time. But I'm in the area on business, so I thought I'did take a peek. In case someone besides me didn't know, Cmowes was closed. I went to Dollies. This was late Saturday night. There was a $3 cover. There were probably 8 or 9 guys sitting at the bar. There was one black girl on stage- well, partially, since she was leaning back against a guy sitting at the stage, getting her tits rubbed. There were probably 6 more guys at tables. There were no other girls visible. Finally a girl came out one door, crossed the room and went in the dressing room. Then several other girls crisscrossed the room like that. No one stopped by a table. Finally, one of the guys said something to the manager. He went and yelled at the girls to get out of the dressing room and mingle with the customers. By that time I was disgusted and decided I didn't need to spend my money on that attitude and left. 2 other places weren't much better. An earlier commenter thought Washington Park was dying. Based on my experience, I can't argue with that. I first came here 30 years ago when a guy could barely get in the door before a girl was grabbing him and asking what she could do for him. Now I'm wondering why the girls work in Washington Park if they don't want money from the guys. An earlier commenter suggested that maybe girls wouldn't bother with single guys because they knew they couldn't make any money. But these girls tonight weren't mixing with anyone and weren't even in the bar most of the time.

I drove into WP before 10 last night. CMowes was open but not one car in the lot. Dollies had 8 girls dancing and they were working the stage but only one blonde had any takers for time behind the beads. After 2 beers I headed out for MK's. How this place has changed. 5 or 6 guys in there, 8 or 9 girls and one extremely annoying dj. Only one of the girls held my interest (Star) but not one girls was offering dances. All they wanted was drinks. Gone are the days of the WP hand shake as well. Of the 5 stage dances I had not one of them even got close to my package. 3 to 5 years ago that place was great to go to day or night but now?. Much of the girls are forgettable and nothing offered at all.

These reports are so true. A few years ago you could go into Washington Park and spend a day hitting clubs and they were all packed. What is it going to take to make Washington Park fun again. Are there any clubs left on the East Side that are interested in providing fun? If anyone has any stories that are worth while about Washington Park I will start going there with some money, report back and then we can all go there.

I've always went when day shift is working. But always left happy. Maybe the evening shift is different will have to go sometime and see.

My experience at Dollies during night shift has been hit or miss. The other night I went in there and had a good time with Unique, not the blonde hottie one but a different girl using that name now. There were several other girls who I could've had fun with as well such as Beauty, Bunny and Ashley though Ashley seemed preoccupied with some other things so I just took a chance on Unique. The girls were all out at the bar and one was on stage. There have been other nights were it was as someone else described with the girls spending all their time in the back. Part of it I think could be timing, I'm thinking some of these girls make some money earlier in the shift and then they just hangout till its time to go home.

Actually I've hardly ever struck out at Dollies its just that some times you have to have some patience and others you have to be more proactive to get what you want.

Like my screen name indicates, I used to enjoy this place. But, the last couple of trips down, stopping by at 3-4 in the afternoon (prefer the day shift ladies), there's maybe 2-3 cars in the parking lot.

Too many times over the years I've been the only guy in the place, it's just not enjoyable. Like other have mentioned about the "good old days", what's it going to take to make these places busy again?

- Even more so than in the past, it's fashionable and politically correct for women to show off their bodies almost anyplace (I found myself following a pair of spike heels and an extremely short, swishing skirt through the kitchen section of a big box store last week) but not politically correct for guys to want to go someplace just to ogle. For both, it reduces the incentive to be in strip clubs.

Add to that the pathetic state of the economy. Missouri is ranked I think 47th in terms of economic growth. And the clubs are after $100 for 5-15 minutes on a filthy couch in a nasty back room most would prefer to not be in + whatever the girl wants for her effort. In most cases this puts the cost as high or higher than a half hour to an hour in a nice hotel room.

Times are changing. If the clubs hope to survive they're going to have to adapt. High covers, stupid expensive drinks, and exorbitant VIP back room private prices will need to change to a volume price. It's become far easier to research and set up a $200-300 premium escort than it used to be. The price point for a club quickie has to change for them to survive. Volume will need to make up for it. Otherwise, BP and other venues will put them out of the fleecing the customer (and dancer) biz.

Hustlers seem to have the better looking ladies. But they can get so busy on the weekends, it can hard to get the one you want. Hollywood appears to be dying a slow death like the other clubs. Never married, single, no kids, self employed. I'm no Mr GQ, but not hideous looking, very fit. I really don't have problems getting a real GF if I wanted.
