I, too, had some wonderful sessions with Alana, and from a purely selfish point of view, I'm sorry she's out of the business. But I'm actually kind of happy when I hear that a real star like her has been able to "graduate" from the industry and get on with her life. Let's face it: it's not a business with long-term solid career prospects. We're a pretty picky customer base, and lean strongly toward preferring the younger end of the age scale when it comes to picking providers. There are two or three ladies out there who I knew ten years ago or so who were favorites and are still working providers, but a decade later they aren't, frankly, on my "to do" list any more.
There are a lot more favorites from a decade ago who I've seen go down some much harder roads: narcotic addiction, incarceration, domestic violence, bad pimps, turning to theft or intimidation when their hardbodies soften. At least two strippers I was once very fond of have straight out committed suicide.
So, like I say, I'm always glad, if a little wistful, when I hear that a favorite lady has found success and happiness outside the industry. More power to them, says I, and I'd never for a second try to convince a girl to get back in the game once she'd decided to get out.
On a completely unrelated note: I hate this forum's autocorrect feature: "Against autocorrect, even the Gods strive in vain."
