So I'm late to the VPN game and have alot to learn. Would a VPN through a non-US server solve this issue? I suppose it would require the girls to do the same and not sure how likely that is. Just asking.

As some of you old guys know I've been in this sport several years, 25 plus. I've seen a lot evolve, sites come and some go. Use to be the Gov. Would shut them down for tax evasion. Decent ladies with a decent donation were a click away. Now with all the junk out there you don't know what you might walk into. Before it's all said and done I'd be willing to bet this board in some form or fashion will be affected, sadly. Why the er-- site is still up surprises me. It will be interesting to see what happens to the hobbie as we know it, how crazy our gov. Will go and knowing our gov. It will be totally fucked up, no pun intended.

Hope we can at least talk about pussy in the future. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter and have avoided it due to not fully understanding it. It would be my luck if I did join social media I'd do something on there and get my ass caught. So I've stayed away.

I have a few notes about it in the Useful Tools thread. Even free VPN's work. I was just looking at CL personals ads in other countries like Canada and Australia and they are going full-blast. Even the services sections are full of personal-type ads. I suspect our US neighbors up along the Canadian border are still using CL but just using the closest Canadian province city to post. Perhaps the same with southwestern states on the Mexican border.

Someone asked why Er*s had been spared while all of the other USA sites have been shut down. Goes back to the raid on the Er*s servers in November of last year. Since this site requires all escorts who post to prove that they are over 18 by 'presenting' I'd, they can therefore claim that they prevent underage trafficking. The Feds seized all of the private information of the escorts and are going through each item of information looking for under age escorts in all states. If they find any, then Er*s can claim they acted in good faith, but are nevertheless guilty of indirectly allowing minors to post sex ads. Then presumably down they go, to join Backpage.

I suppose the Feds are trying to show that all those new laws are not actually an attack on prostitution, but a serious attempt to prevent trafficking. If they had closed down Er*s it would have seemed otherwise.

Although most of the ads were scraped from the old BP site, there are a few new ads (some are likely fakes). Babydoll / Lilbit has two ads posted from Sat and Sun, after BP went down. Posting ads also seems to be FREE, at least for now, which should appeal to providers.

Here's how backpage. Ly seems to be trying to get around FOSTA with their "we aren't aware of any illegal content" statement. Not sure how well that will fly in court, but for now, these sites are still up (albeit kind of slow as they are having to take on lots of new traffic).

If any of these sites gets shut down, there is another sister site onebackpage. Ca that is based in Canada. It's a little early to see how this will shake out, but it's probably worth a watch.

It maybe be allowed to continue business since it addresses the issue of underage trafficking. Put a lower age limit of 21 instead of 18 to show even more willingness to comply. I'm sure LE doesn't want out of work escorts back on the streets or resorting to crime, more work for them.

Trying to rub the Feds nose in it by opening another BP based in Libya may be ultimately futile. Trying to see things their way may be more productive.

They are up and running because they are Canadian based. Got to love the Maple Leaf guys!!
