Around 2 in the afternoon, strolled through 5th and there was a tall light skinned BSW, I think. Had an umbrella. Tall girl w a short skirt and heels. Doubled back and was already in the process of being picked up. Anybody know her name or number? I'd like check her out.
If anyone has any insight, I would love to hear it. The main strolls I hit are either dead or barely hanging on for life. There has been an abrupt drop off over the last year I'd say, after a gradual decline slowly going back a few years. Is it just gentrification pushing all the shady activity out of the city and into the burbs??
I have been mongering hard and regularly for about 6-7 years. My main strolls are Division / Pulaski and 5th when I had extra time to drive. I also would hit up Lawrence and Pulaski or Cicero and Diversey from time to time, both of which are what I would consider completely dead now. Div / Pulaski used to be a steady stream of activity virtually all night long. Drive around for 30 min and you'd get your pick from anywhere from 3-10 SW's. Now if I drive for an hour, I maybe see one SW and it's something sad looking or, worse, one of these ripoff artists which always try for the pretend drug freak out routine or excuse why they suddenly can't do it routine. Terrible. 5th used to be like Div / Pulaski but on steroids. Now I'm lucky to see any 1 or 2 even at prime time when there used to be pretty much guarantee 3-4 just standing out in the middle of the street not even trying to blend in at all, let alone all of the ones that would suddenly pop out of the darkness.
Crime and drugs are taking a different pattern, and this falls in lockstep with that. I'm no user, but I can still sense it. Robberies hitting more and more areas, and more brazen on the north side, yet murders are actually way down compared to prior years. More homeless encampments, yet less people hanging out on the corner doing the heroin zombie sleepwalk. Something is changing, and rapidly.

More homeless encampments, yet less people hanging out on the corner doing the heroin zombie sleepwalk. Something is changing, and rapidly.
Big time city thing lately in places I have never seen. From what I understand there was a move to remove many of these places and give them actual places to stay. I know on harrison at financial plaza which was a major encampment is now gone. However, the ryan near roosevelt last I checked is still there. What I did see recently is right in humboldt park several tents. So I would totally agree that things are changing rapidly and not for the better which in turn is sliding down to the SW women. One would tend to believe like delivery people and cabs they are easy targets as the bad people know they have cash. It is scary as I was held up while hacking a cab back in the 80's. It is not pleasant and I got away with less money, however alive. Today 40 plus years it is a jungle down there. And the animals are ruling in more ways than one. Watch the news. Killings left and right. People are more frightened and it affects the hobby and street imo.

Listening to Lightfoot and her cronies, everything is just hunky dory in the city. Although murders were slightly down in 2022, they were still historically high. Other violent crimes are all up though (armed robberies, carjacking, etc.) The city is on a downward slope similar to the early 80's before Daley took charge. Say what you will about him, but at least he cleaned the city up. Now, you risk your property or life by living or visiting there.

Daley's first 3 years in office Chicago had over 900 homicides a year, we've never seen anything close to that since. Blame the 24 hour news cycle and social media for the hype. Crime maybe more widespread but that's about it. I guess when it was confined to certain areas on the south and west side it was okay but now other areas are feeling some of the same pain others did for decades and things seem out of control. Or maybe people just don't like the mayor for other reasons.
But since I started the SW scene in 2016 compared to now its been a massive drop off. I think the girls are avoiding the strips due to robbery risks in combination to moving onto online platforms to charge more, and avoid being on the street. I think there's an uptick in girls also being taken off the street and forced into trafficking or missing too. We know Dart has put more pressure on these girls than his predecessors and the street girls are an easier target.

We're seeing things now that haven't been seen in decades, if ever. Whether or not that has an effect on the SW scene, it's possible I guess but I don't know. I certainly wouldn't want to be out there trying to make a living in the current climate.

Technology has become accessible to all and easy enough to use so most love providers now have more streams of revenue on line and redort to the streets in times of desperation.
Use the tech, the providers are looking for us too. The cost evens out because driving around hoping to find a girl or two adds up as well.
I've read advise from folks here to change up your search times. I've done that and it's worked at least to connect with the provider and get a number or a agree to meet up later.
I used to hit and run with these girls and most of the time I didn't even ask for a name. I was surprised to learn how often I was referred to other love specialists just by asking.
Don't let the weather end your search. Some of my luckiest days have been on rainy days.
This hobby of ours has existed way before any of us were born and will continue long after we are gone.

None of this was / is a recipe for a thriving streetwalker scene like those in Florida (Orlando or Tampa). Anyone remember the old Spot Lounge "strip joint" in Cicero on Roosevelt (near Central) places like that are sadly just a distant memory b / c those neighborhoods were ruined.

As far as other changes, I am noticing more and more stories about gun use by urban blacks, I don't want to start a political firestorm here and don't want to argue the reasons. Some strips have zealous pimp recruiting and end up in beatings. Others have increased LEO presence and enforcement. Probably the only thing that stops more girls from going on line is always losing phones or having them stolen.

In this hobby there come days where dreams are so interesting and elaborate even you can't believe them with your own eyes. It's early morning and I had to do some errands. It requires me to go to the southside. As I head there I always take the scenic route just to see what's out and about. 47th Cic empty, Westside empty. But 5th was also vacant. Get to more on that in a second. I figured with the recent Intel discussed here about 63rd west I would peruse to see. Low and behold I see what looks to be a HSW as people discussed in the area. We connect and her name is Tunes. Really cool, little thin body, spinner for sure but cute face. Says she has 11 kids. Crazy stuff. Finish up with her BBBJ, FS. And start to head up 47th towards Cicero to hit 290 eventually. Again the scenic route. As I hit Pulaski I see another SW this time white but she is super cute. Thin skinny probably from the candy but super cute in the face. Freckles girl next door look. I was really impressed. Grab her and we connect. Good times. Her name is Eve not a real name. I won't disclose that. Here's where it gets crazy. She ask for a ride to Cicero and 290. My direction as well so ok. As we are driving she tells me how she is usually on 5th but lately it's been empty because they found a body of a girl over there. Apparently this war in the news. Then she says that between the Pimps and the Russians the girls are scared to be out. Russians! I say cmon there are no Russians on 5th. She says hell yea there is. She says they are drugging girls and kidnapping them. At this point I'm like cmon this some movie shit. She say no the Russians are grabbing girls and the pimps are fighting back. She claims that basically it's forcing girls to get protection one way or another and roght now that's through a pimp for kost of the girls if they want to stay out there. She said this is why she comes over to 47th now. She says she knows all the caes that stroll through 5th especially in the morning. She said the regular girls all pass information on who is cool and who isn't. She said too add on to the Russian and pimp issues there was a guy that would get rental cars. Said he was bald but would wear a cap and sometimes glasses. But a different car everyday. Said he would grab girls and rape them at gunpoint. She said everyone knows him but he changes up cars and clothes. Lastly she says that the girls are tired of the hassle on the street that the same cops they servicing in the area isn't keeping them safe. They tell them about this guy, the Russians and bad pimps and they get what they want, promise protection and do nothing. Now this girl Eve is young but clearly on candy. But I must admit she was coherent and very clear on this 30 min ride. So the more she spoke the more I started to believe her. It would explain the recent drought everyone has been talking about. By the way she can suck a mean dick, so I'm told.
Can someone please share more specifics on the 63th stroll? Like when we say Cicero and 47th (Midway), we actually say the alleys between Cicero And Lacrosse ave (between 47th and 51th). I just wondering which specific street should I keep my eye on while driving through 63th. Thanks.

I used to always see the same old ones from the stroll disappear for a while but always end up back there eventually. But for quite a stretch now, I haven't even seen that. Been dying to ask some questions as I usually do with the ones who are cool and know me well.
I do remember one older HSW from the Grand / Pulaski stroll who was pretty active and reliable and I had many many dreams with, last time I saw her, she mentioned something about how I should come visit her way up on like North and Austin or something like that. Said she got some kind of gov't housing deal over there. Didn't think too much of it at the time, but now I'm wondering if this is something that might be more widespread. Someone else here mentioned that the City is trying to clean this stuff up. Maybe there are some housing programs that are not widely announced up and running now. It's moving these girls all over the city, away from the drug spot areas they used to live.
Someone else mentioned more girls are online now. I don't think that's it. If anything, there is LESS ability to do that now, ever since that Craiglist law hit (the one that also killed Backpage). Plus who the hell wants to deal with a bunch of bad attitude, no-fun, clock-watchers off of Listcrawler when you could have some actual fun with a SW if you get moderately lucky. And yeah, these girls aren't the type to even be able to hang onto the same phone number for very long. I had a few fairly reliable texters over the years, but eventually that number goes disconnected at some point. Some of them you find back on the stroll, some you don't ever see again.
Gosh, the relative "hey day" of 6-10 years ago seems to be dead and gone now, and I'm sad AF about it.
