Last week I was interested in one that I saw that someone had posted about. I contacted the provider and we chatted she sent pictures ect. And I told her I will call back on weekend to set up. Well weekend is here and her number was disconnected. She had previously gave me an address in Easley. So of course I googled and it is an older trailer. Well her post was deleted so I didn't know what was going on. Anyway I saw another post for someone different so I asked about her consideration. She did the same as girl number one did. I don't exactly know the status of Backpage if it is still based in the US or has sought refuge in Europe or the like. I'm guessing this will make things a lot more complicated for all of us mongers. I wouldn't be surprised if this site would be affected as well just based on the loose wording of these bills. I would definitely let any of your regulars know that BP might be going down in the next few months. This will obviously make things more difficult for us in the future. It is my understanding that there is something of a network already existing through this site. It might not be a bad idea to start making plans if we have to move, something like an Email list to stay informed or the like in case things are shut down. The shut downs of these site will likely happen without warning. Reddit today already shut down a number of boards that were associated with mongering activities, all of that information is now completely locked out. So if certain people (we know who) decide to establish an emergency fallback system, I definitely would like to be on that list. I don't know if this has been brought up or not here, but it is something we need to start talking about.
