Nope, not quite. HSV type 1 is the common cold sore, usually (though not always) found in the mouth. HSV type 2 is genital herpes, usually (but not always) found around the genitals.

You can get either in either place, and both diseases are systemic, meaning they infect the whole body. So, if you daty a girl who has type 2 you can get it in your mouth. Realistically, no. But no law, in and of itself has ever stopped anyone from doing anything. The point of law is to enforce socially responsible behavior by making socially IRresposible behavior prohibitively expensive.

And the law evolves because the definition of 'responsible' and 'expensive' do, too.

I'm very careful ALWAYS about looking at a girls lips before doing anything. A cold sore can be covered up easy with makeup and tons of people in the US have HSV-1 on their mouths. If you get a BBBJ from someone when the virus is shedding then you're going to get HSV-1 on your stuff from that person which means that you will get genital herpes from that encounter. If you're going to get a BJ from someone you barely know, wear a condom -even a super thin one is much better than nothing, and keep mouth contact away from anywhere the condom doesn't cover. I think another thing people forget about Herpes is that the virus enters your body through skin on skin contact and then works its way up your nerve path to the sacrum. From there breakouts occur up and down that nerve path, basically anywhere in the boxer shorts area but most commonly the head and shaft of the penis. So that means if the skin of a thigh meets the skin of another thigh that has a herpes lesion then that still results in the eventual breakouts on the penis, not just the thigh. The virus would enter the body through the skin of the thigh, travel up the nerve path, live and hide in the sacrum, and then cause outbreaks on the penis. Point being, the penis does not have to come into contact with the herpes skin in order to get genital herpes. Bumping and grinding can do the trick just the same. Wear a condom, don't do anything uncovered, and do your research or know a little about the person you see. I really appreciate your honesty. I'm sure half the people on this board have it and don't own up to it. The numbers just don't work any other way.

Well well, I was looking at my text messages and who did I find one from? Our beloved and much reported on be. Are. Stacey. Haven't seen her in quite awhile. For HSV-1, it's much higher, approaching the 70%-90% mark by some estimates, most people get it from kissing on the playground or from your grandma kissing you are a kid. Most people don't know they have it because it's asymptomatic for many people. That's why a BBBJ is one of the most dangerous things you can do. If that many people have it on their mouths then it can be easily passed to your penis. HSV-1 still is genital herpes, and is only a less active when on the penis than HSV-2. But still there.
