I do wish we had heard of the others. We tried once at a place in Gary, Fawneys Greenery? Not sure if that was the name.

I came of age when they were on their last legs, and hit one or two, but only had a date at one of the places, can't remember which one. My buddy did one night, and his best quote,"I'll drink Wildwood Cola all night in this motherfucker!" LOL I did!

The Wildwood were the funniest part. 5 bucks for a generic pop.

They were on Cicero between Cermak and Roosevelt (except Pure Gold was a couple of blocks west on Roosevelt). The Shamrock and Cove Motels also used to have ladies standing in the doorways of their rooms waiting for the johns to stop in for a quickie. The Vagabond Club in Chicago Heights was a primo place also. Lagrange was hopping back in the day. Oh do I miss the days of old.

The Cove motel was torn down but the Shamrock and Karavan (at Cicero & 16th) are still up and running.

I started going there around '79-'80 with a buddy who lived a few blocks away and I know it lasted until the early 90's for sure, and I had many good times there and met a couple of the girls away from the club. I had also hit the Cicero ave spots and went to Lyons a few times. I'm also a veteran of Rush st starting back in the early 70's after returning from Vietnam. There were a lot of different clubs there, but I only remember 6 east and The Candy Store. Dated a girl, as in actual dates, from the Candy Store who I had originally met working at the Tomcat on Roosevelt in Winfield, anybody remember that, and also another from another Rush st club who lived in Sandburg Village. Oh, the good old days.

A bit off topic, but interesting how Cicero and Lyons end up in the South Suburb forum. To me anyway, you can't get much more west than that. But then I grew up in Aurora which was always a western suburb, but have seen it referred to as a southern suburb on various boards in the last dozen or so years.

Never knew the place as 5801. Was a regular there in the mid-80s. Left when the sun came up a lot of days. One night jumps to mind though. It was the night I decided to treat my best man. He never had any money, raising 4 daughters so I would pop for him. We got a buzz together and went over there. It was walking distance. We sat down at the bar and within seconds, we have several dancers around us. I bought a few rounds and picked my favorite and went into the little booth with the draw string curtain. I was in there for a while, doing what I came for. When I came out, my best man was nowhere to be seen. I had another drink, figuring he might be in the bathroom, or in a booth. May be 20 or 25 minutes passed and I began wondering where he was. Finally, I decided to go outside, and there he was. He had a hangdog expression on his face, and just said, simply,"I got kicked out". I said WTF did you do to get kicked out of THIS place? He gave me the $$$ back and said,"The bouncer came up to me and said, you got to go" and I said to him,"Why?" He pointed to one of the dancers and said,"She doesn't like the way you are looking at her".

When I think of this, I still laugh about it.

Just noticed in my travels a new massage place on Southwest Highway in Oak Lawn, I think it is call Ridge Massage, anybody partake yet?

Amazing how this place keeps going, have never been disappointed. I see a different therapist when I hit it almost every time, ask about old friends, and they always say who was that, LOL. Door fee still $80, usual great service, usual pricing after.

Typical Asian massage with the you know what's.

Ruby went above and beyond any other girl I've been with.

These massage places area bit on the high side, but I never had a better experience.

Even the massage was awesome too!

While running for office, OL's newly-elected mayor mentioned how shameful it was OL allowed a massage parlor to take up business in the village, so you can bet this mp is being watched, in fact I watched an OL police car cruise through the parking lot the day I TOFTT.

While I filled out 'medical paperwork', two other guys came in, filled out their paperwork and went through the next door for their massages.

The ladies I saw there were either hispanic or caucasian, no asians.

When I was led to my room, I was told to leave my underwear on and lay face-up between the sheets on the table.

The massage was okay, but when you're laying face down at the end, you're hardly in a position to negotiate. I didn't even try.

When I left, the lobby was full of waiting hopefuls.

The first time anyone gets extras at this place, I'm sure it will be gone. The new mayor apparently doesn't like mps.
