As far as melrose these are all nearby western suburbs. Cicero is also a nearby western town. So melrose, franklin, stone, schiller are all short for the name and the word "park". Like I say where you will be staying / working there is not much to be had. It has been reported on the other thread that on occasion one has cruised through those places as you mentioned, went in for some booze at a store and a girl or two was hanging around nearby looking for "a ride". Again hit or miss and really not much even further west which is the "heim strip". So that would be the east end of the big airport from say belmont down to lake street. But I haven't seen or heard of anything in years. It also had a real good strip joint on Lake Street, long gone. Manheim, north of Armitage used to have possibilities, but now it's a rarity and the strip club scene is mostly dead. There are probably mongers that can give you more promising info than me. But based on Maywood location, the closest might be Chicago on 5th, and North Pulaski. But they can be sketchy hoods and I wouldn't recommend without being familiar with the streets.
