You do bring up a good point in asking what is an acceptable risk. I know I among many other hobbyist have often paid for the room and left it in the hands of the provider. I know this may not be a smart thing to do but I don't know what I can be legally accountable for if that provider was arrested using my room for any illegal activities. I always try to delete text messages and request the provider does as well. I am interested to know what is considered an acceptable risk for both texts and the purchase of a room left in the providers control.

I wouldn't have blown her off over the text. You still had many ways you coupd have made sure she was legit.
