Can't speak for Dr. Phil but I did hear that people go on those "Court" shows because the show will pay the claim however the judge rules. I'm sure they didn't get much but paying a guest panel a total of $20 grand is still pretty cheap production cost even for daytime T. V.

Don't know if you watched it, but that's exactly what happened in "Jerry Springer" the movie (except for the wedding). Then again, I bet that sounds like every other guest they've ever had on Springer (Jerry, Jerry, Jerry). Yeah, if the Judge Judy show is willing to pay up to $5 K and Springer $1 K, I bet it's somewhere in between for Dr. Phil. Still not worth the exposure if her skeletons get out of the closet. Believe it or not they elected him to a councilman and then elected him mayor of Concinnatti after he got caught. Hard to believe.
I am not surprised. Look at all the scum bags that get elected and reelected all the time. Drug convictions didn't stop the DC mayor from getting reelected. Even here locally some of the politicians that made the most noise about this hobby got caught with their dicks in high end escorts. Nothing corrupts more then power and money.
