I've been trying to get her cleaned up and turned around since 2018.

I wondered what happened to her too. Used to kick it with Rachel a lot last year then lost contact around the end of the year. I check her fb every now and again and no RIP post so that's good I guess.

I think its the same one I was talking about. Yes she is in very bad shape. I talk to her daily. I have been trying to get her help for months. I drop off stuff for her legs when I can. She is so skinny I can't believe she is still alive. She has been on the ave for a long time.

To the west they go off on angles and it is easy to end up where you do not want to be, turned around, or lost

SO, when looping around the block, turn east.

Of course there are exceptions but generally it holds true.

First, patience is more than virtue, it's necessary for success on the Avenue. Some days I cruise and it's a smorgasbord of choices, other days is wasteland so your sample size of one trip shouldn't discourage you.

Here are my tips. First, once you spot one, try to make eye contact. That's a major tell tale sign that she's a SW, and not a female resident of the neighborhood. Then slow down, use your turn signal and try like hell not to pick them up right on the Avenue. Don't negotiate thru an open car window, wave her in and the pull away and make small talk. A police decoy will never get in your car and if they insist on talking before getting in the car, just pull away and forget her.

Scout the area ahead of time for your parking spot. Most of my own were originally suggestions from the SW herself. Make it far away from the Avenue enough that it's a long walk back so she won't' bolt on you. I try to make it on a one way street and not in front of somebody's front door. Now for the transaction, I usually take the money out and show her, then I put in on a clip on my driver's side visor and tell her she'll be the next one to touch it after the deed is done. I had SW's refuse to cooperate and I gave them a ride back to the Avenue but if you do this with a smile and sincerity, almost all will go along. Just know it's a game of leverage and once you hand over the money, you give away all your leverage. Lastly, examine your car after dropping her off, I have found crack pipes, lipstick containers and other items that would be impossible to explain away to your significant other.

I usually pull over and park ahead of the direction the SW is walking and when they pass my car signal them to get in. Also try and park far away from preferably on a one way secluded street. Also don't forget to check the side streets (especially down near Huntingdon).
