I guess this comes down to the honesty of the provider, we only know what they tell us.

Sometimes, on the old boards in the men's rooms guys would share utr information. That isn't an option now and you pretty much just did that here or at least asked. It went on kind of behind scenes and might here to some extent.
I have also been known to watch the postings from the girls, especially the older ones as you point out, who don't provide pics. Some of them don't post for too long. I've struck up text conversations that way followed by pics and then met them. Usually what happens is they start posting pics and become a regular or they don't post anymore.
