I have not been for probably close to 2 years. When I used to go, what they did at Smiles that was rather unique in my experience anyway, is the dancers would let you play with their tits during their stage dances, as well as the $1 dances in the public area. Eventually the policy narrowed a little in that if there were multiple people in the club, they wouldn't allow it on stage, but if you were the only one there, they would. For me, that was the greatest strip club I ever went to, for that reason. Now, I am not one looking for actual sex at a strip club. Those who are may prefer other clubs. I recently moved back after several years away. I use to go to a dive place, Riverhead is what I think it was called, in LIC. Only the private rooms are for lap dances now. The upstairs open floor isn't in use. Although the last time I went was in Feb, but I doubt they will bring back the $20 dances.
I went to check this place out not knowing at all about its history. So, I didn't check to see if extras or anything were offered. The place way overcharges for drinks but the dancers weren't horrible. The setup was just kind of weird though because there were two stages in the middle not being used at all and only the small "stage" behind the bar being used that can barely fit one girl. There were plenty of clients in the club and the girls were just sitting around doing nothing. One girl came down to sit next to me after her set and we talked a bit. She was cool but not my thing. She didn't even ask me if I wanted a LD but I would've declined anyway. I'm not sure it was worth the $20 cover but I only stayed for a little bit. This was a Sunday night around 9 pm.
