There's a wide variety of scams dealing with phone numbers and many escorts (not just the female) who will say they are going to post your number because you took up their time with questions or called and didn't make an appointment. Like I would see that provider after that threat!

I've been in the hobby a good 12 years and have often had concerns about some what if scenarios. Of course, getting busted in a sting is always a lurking potential problem but with a bit or research, using your gut and having the fortitude to just walk away from an iffy / bad scene you can minimize that risk. However, what if I got in a car accident or had my car stolen in a seedy neighborhood have always been in the back of my mind when I'm playing excuses off between work and my wife to free up the time to hobby.

And of course, last week on the way home from skipping out of work to get me some an 18 year old punk suddenly pulled out in front of me from a side street trying to take a left. Unable to stop I slammed into him hard, fortunately no one was hurt but my car is fucked up and will be in shop for a month. The worst part was I was waaaaay away from where I was supposed to be at that time of day and in had to come up with an creative explanation for both my wife and work why I was in that area. Now I just need to keep work and my wife from conversing too much until this blows over. Any other "fun" stories out there?

I have no symptoms of a STD but just want to be sure. Sometimes there are no symptoms. I goggled one clinic in NH that said they were anonymous but required your credit card, email and phone number. Not a fun topic but it never hurts to increase your options. I went to get tested for most everything (4 tests) at a STD clinic in Nashua 18 Mulberry St 603-589-4500. They are only open 3:00 to 6:00 on Thursday. I gave a fake name and no phone number. Results take a week except for HIV which takes 20 minutes. $50. All negative. They are every nice there and recommended. Be safe.

Was flipping the channels the other night and settled in on this show called 8 minutes on A&E. Thanks for any input![/QUOTE]This is not hard to do. You need the right equipment to do it though. It's not much different than ripping a CD. It does require a program made for ripping video. Full length DVDs will take a long time to rip and encode into a single video format file. If you don't have a computer that has lots of random access memory and a fast and larger hard drive then it is not worth the effort.

I use a freely downloadable software app for PCs called Handbrake. It works very well, but the free version does limit the size of each clip to 10 minutes, which actually works really well so that the clips don't take too long to load over the Internet (eg to view on your phone). However, it can be tricky to come up with the right settings in terms of resolution and video format. Video players on PCs generally support a wide variety of codecs / formats and containers, eg MPEG, FLV, MP3, MOV. But phones might support a more limited set of codecs / containers. So, you have to decide carefully and then stick to those settings.
