When the scammer responds to your inquiry it's important not to say what city that you are in. This is especially true on Reddit or Kik. You could say your in Portland and they would continue with their script till it got to the part where you have to pay a $50-200 booking fee or deposit thru cash app.

One example was this written on the ad. All you need to say is that you want to see them for {amount of time}. No one needs to know what your name is or where your located. Here's a recent example from an ad on skipthegames where the scammer wants lots of details to make it easier for them to scam you. Also the phone number was out of area and the location was "airport".

"Before Texting!

Name, Age, Ethnicity, referral website, City, state, Date, Time and Lenght of your desired meeting.

Example:
