Its hard to categorize people if you're judging the way the date is set up IMO. No offense. Service varies, no matter if you pull up next to a girl who is walking down the street or if you call her to set up a date.

The best answer to your question is a great big "Sometimes". I have been with SWs who have provided me with exactly what you are describing for a fraction of the price of an escort, and I've been with escorts who have wanted 200-300 to provide only a fraction of the service. So it varies from girl to girl, and we as customers know and accept that.

But you have to look at it from our vantage point. If I know that I can get a girl from Lamar for 50-80, why should I pay 150-200 just because she has found CraigsList? Especially when their service doesn't usually change to reflect the increase in price. Since most of the girls who work both CL and the track are NOT independent, they are under the same restrictions from their pimps, i.e. turn as many dates in the shortest amount of time. So they are not offering GFE or multiple pops, but they are asking for higher prices. Would you, as a consumer, be willing to pay 3-4 times as much for a product if the product did not offer 3-4 times as much value? Or in more practical terms, would you pay $8 for a loaf of bread if you knew that you could get the same bread at a different time and place for $2? No, you wouldn't, and no one in their right mind would expect you to.

The other problem is that, despite what the women or some of the mongers may think, this hobby is not a seller's market, it is a buyer's market. In other words, girls don't control the price, the guys do. If every guy who participated in this hobby simply refused to pay more than 150/hr EVER, under any circumstance, then the price would drop. See Tristan, I respect your right to say and feel that your time is worth 200/hr. However, it is and has always been the choice of the guys whether or not we are willing to pay that price. There is nothing that says you ever have to change your price, or offer specials, but you and other girls do, because economic realities force the price down. You have bills to pay and other financial needs, and if the customers aren't coming at 300/hr but are coming at 150/hr, then you really don't have a choice, unless you find a new line of work.

You make the point about well-reviewed Net escorts, but does the average monger really research that much? Probably not....they simply look at the CL ads and pick a girl that looks hot, so they get burned by a girl who works both CL and the streets, paying CL prices for typical SW performance.

I've been doing this for 18 years, and I have watched the changes in this hobby over that time. I've seen the evolution of the strip clubs from the time of Danny Owens to now, watched as areas that were once prime for SW action have dried up or become nonexistent, and noticed how the Internet changed the escort business forever. And through all of this, one thing has been true. For every girl out there charging 200, there are other girls out there charging 50 for the exact same thing. Factor into it that most guys are not looking for a GFE experience, and you should not be surprised that the prices have dropped. What is surprising is that they have stayed so high for escorts for so long, in light of the fact that there are so many girls out there willing to do as much or more for less.

I've got a trip coming up to Dallas and decided to go look through the CL ads to see what it was like over there and let me tell you it's like Night and Day. First there are a crap load more escorts over there and they keep their prices pretty low. Not to mention it looks like for most of them everything is on the menu as well as multi pops. Seems there rates are reasonable and business is thriving over there.
