First, Jail time for a first offense? I have seen people charged with Battery and assault get NO JAIL TIME, in those case's there is a victim, not just the morality of society. Second How can you Take someones car after the fact? That is just bullshit! Third you said he "could" have fought it based on the transcript but can't afford a Lawyer, The public defender IS his lawyer and all they do is work in concert with the District Attorney to get plea bargains because if they had to fight every charge the system would crash, it's very hard to fight something when it's he said she said, but when there is a recording and it gets transcribed showing he said what he said, what exactly is he guilty of? trying to get laid? this just goes to show how fucked up society is, when someone can get caught up in the system and lose, just because everything is stacked against them. I hope your friend get's an easy community service gig, I am sure they won't go as easy on him as they will on Mel Gibson after all they never even charged him with escape.
