Looking back at hobbying return on investment over past 3 years. Yuk! Spending $$ for seedy hotels, scams, cash and dance, druggie providers handled by scummers. It's actually embarassing.

Maybe 3 solutions:

A) Mongers post top 5 providers weekly (a top 10 would be unrealistic).

B) Mongers post Top 10 worst which would be very competitive with lots of honorable mentions.

C) Mongers strike for 30 days relying on AMPs, self-service and / or more attention to significant others.

I sent this in earlier in response to the fellow senior members who have posted here today about quitting the hobby. It seems there are a number of us that have been doing this for a while and are all getting to a point where we are tired of being treated poorly. I have a few ideas that may help us collectively, which I will be glad to post if there is interest. Meanwhile, the message I sent earlier is below. I don't know if it didn't post when I accidentally hit the back button or if it just got delayed. At any rate, if it ends up being a duplicate, my apologies.

I've seen some talk on the threads here lately about the state of things in town lately, and sadly they are true. While it was mentioned that there are some jerks out there mistreating providers, it is becoming more prevalent that providers are mistreating clients too. I don't think they realize they are driving away the target market of people they actually want to see, I. E. Those who visit regularly, treat them with respect, and are reliable appointments. I've been doing this for a number of years, and am not waxing nostalgically here, but basic common courtesy is at an all time low with providers these days. Over the years, I've developed good relations and rapport with some of the ladies, but that seems to have been replaced by people who view clients as nothing more than a walking wallet these days.

I have myself considered hanging it up lately. There isn't one girl out there listing (yes, including the ones that have been around a while and get rave reviews) that can consistently be relied upon to even keep a basic dialog to set up appointments. I get it that they have lives and they are busy, but we do too, and I'll match anyone's busy schedule with mine. If I have time to keep in touch about making appointments, then they should too. Sadly, the ones who are the most guilty of no shows or ghosting on a regular basis are the ones that put "don't waste my time" or "no games or bs" type messages on their ads. I'm not the type to name names, but I've been stood up, ghosted on, or just plain downright ignored sometimes by people who know I've seen consistently. And it sounds like this is common for all of us here. If these ladies want this to be "business like" then they need to be professionals at all times too, not just when it suits them.

I'll get off my soapbox now. LOL. But when I see members here saying they are quitting, I think the ladies need to start taking their own advice and remembering that we deserve the same treatment and respect that you are asking for too. Otherwise, they are driving away the good ones and leaving the field open for nothing but the jerks they complain about. I haven't decided if I'm staying yet myself. I guess a lot will be decided on the next few months. I work too hard for my money and have so little free time, that I won't continue to have it wasted by people who don't show me the same respect they demand for themselves. I've never broken an appointment, always been respectful and mindful of those I see, and never set an unreasonable expectation for anyone I contact. I expect the same in return. If I can't get that, I will probably quit also. Bottom line is, I want to be as appreciated as a good client just as they want to be appreciated as a good provider. I don't expect providers to deal with bad behavior, but I will not either. Stay safe all.

I think we should start with something less drastic and see if things can be turned around with some better intel. My first idea would work to help people conveniently compile the aforementioned top 5 and bottom 10 list as well as keep current on the situation. Since even the one's we consider to be better than most can go bad too, it pays to have more direct real time stats on who is worth seeing and who isn't.

My idea is that we collectively start issuing a short scorecard report on each person we contact. Make the subject title the name of the provider only (makes a search by name convenient to see all intel easily on any one particular person) list on a scale of 0 to 10 a category for communication, attitude, and appointment (if you make one). Then just a quick sentence or two with any needed comment. This is not to take the place of reviews, just a quick scorecard that you post for every person you contact. It would take two minutes, and give an overview for everyone as to what they are experiencing. It may also stop people asking "does anyone have intel on this one?" if they can just type in a name and get a good set of scorecards.

It's just an idea, and it won't work if we don't all participate. But if you contact 2 or 3 people to try to get a date, it might be nice to know who isn't even bothering to respond or who is difficult with you while even trying to set up an appointment, or who ghosts on you in the middle of making plans, etc. If anyone has thoughts on how to arrange it differently or add to it, feel free to comment. An example would look like the following:

Title - (provider name from ad).

Communication 5/10 (or note if never responded).

Attitude 4/10.

Appointment 4/10 (or note that you decided not to see them).

Comments. Nothing special, not worth a repeat visit unless there are no other options.

Something short and to the point would take just a minute to write, but if we get enough members to fill out a simple scorecard, it helps give a more complete picture of what everyone is experiencing. You can always write a review later if you feel one is helpful, but this would at least be a start to be able to put some stats together on most of the ones that have ads even if there aren't any reviews. As mentioned, this would take some unified participation, but it could maybe stem the tide of bad providers if real time info is being shared every time. If someone has a better idea though, I'm all for that too. I just know that there were at least 3 senior members posting here today they are thinking of quitting, and two that said they would rather drive a few hours to a better city than see someone here. If we don't do something, the situation is never going to improve.

Got some PMs from members, and the most consistent trend to them seems to be ghosting. Some of you have mentioned providers that just never answer, some that abandon an appointment conversation midway though and never get back to you, and then some that say they get a text anywhere from 12 to 24 hours later to see if you are now ready to meet (that's my favorite. Seeing an ad stating not to contact unless you are ready to meet, then 17 hours later, finally getting a response from them). Again, I understand we all have lives (I'm not taking sides on this one) but I keep hoping we can change the mindset here to improve the culture of our little community. If you are going to go to the trouble of putting pictures online with your phone number and a message telling the general public how you can't wait to meet them, then for God's sake, please realize that some obligation of basic two way communication comes with that. Lately, there's more than just a little of the pervasive attitude that any texting not direct and to the point for an appointment or responding to someone on a day when you choose not to see anyone is a waste of time and shouldn't be bothered with. I'm not advocating that people have to excessively text others when they are busy or not seeing anyone, but if it's a legitimate contact you've seen before, at least have the decency to acknowledge them in as timely a manner as possible. Even a three word "sorry, busy today" reply shows you respect the other person enough to let them get on with their day too. It takes 15 or 20 seconds at most to send a short text.

Case in point. I've gotten tons of texts over the years from providers that are just a basic "hi there" or "how are you" type texts that I'm sure were probably sent out to several people they see looking to scare up an appointment. I'm cool with that, and I always respond to them even if I can't see them right away, because 9 times out of 10 if I can help them out later, I will. Unfortunately, a lot of those replies I send never get answered at all. I assume they found someone to see, but it sure would be nice to know since I took the time to reply instead of just ghosting. I guess the reason for my lengthy posts lately is that I hope that bringing some things out in the open may bring the two sides together. I see things deteriorating in our area, and I would like to see if we can improve them. The crux of every one of these messages is that both sides deserve mutual respect. I know that some of the ladies read this forum and would like them to know that those of us that come to visit you are not "the enemy. " If you treat the regulars right 100% of the time it will help you weed out the jerks and the no shows, because you will have plenty of people you can depend on to see. I can honestly say that if I had treated any provider with some of the treatment I've seen or experienced, they would be just as offended. I don't know any woman out there that would even consider making an appointment with someone who left them hanging more than once or twice, yet I can name several who have and feel we're just supposed to understand.

I've seen several senior members here in the last week alone say they are quitting, and I'm pretty much on the verge of hanging it up myself if things don't change. I've seen more bad behavior and disrespect in the last year than ever. Like a lot of people, you can only tolerate so much of it before you realize it just isn't worth the trouble. This isn't something I have to do. Sex isn't worth wasting half my free time and income on. When I drive to see someone on a snowy or icy day because no one has come to see them and they need money toward a room, I would like to think that I am appreciated too. We go through the same problems as providers do. Weird first visits with strangers, wondering who you can trust and who you can't, being paranoid about LEO, etc. And we also have some of the same everyday problems. Not enough time to take care of personal things everyday, being short of cash when you really need it most, or just wanting to relax and enjoy a little time for yourself. Bottom line, neither side likes no shows or ghosting. It wastes everyone's time and creates a lot of ill will.

Please keep the reviews and the dialog coming on the thread. If we don't, there is no one to blame but ourselves. I read other cities threads sometimes and the ones with the best providers and clients are the one with the most active threads. Sharing knowledge is the best way of shining a light on problems.
