Its just a blood draw / urine sample. Full out of pocket price would range maybe $250-$350 (much less or free with insurance) give or take. You could also hit up a planned parenthood, or other clinic type service. Really though there is no reason you couldn't bring this up with your primary care physician. After all everything discussed with him / her is confidential.

And the insurance company! If you have an SO and you designated your SO to see your info when you signed your HIPAA form, you might get screwed. If you're single, screw it, use your bennies, you're paying for them!

I think my insurance is PPO so I do not need a referral, so I can go to any doctor. The insurance report is something I need to manage but I can.
I do not want to confide to my family doctor, it will be weird. But if I want to keep a specialist just for this purpose, should that be an Urologist? It costs me pretty much the same if I see a GP or a Specialist.
