This may not be exactly breaking news but I heard Aleda burned down over the weekend. A tenant from an adjoining business just happened to be there at 4 am and smelled smoke so he called 911. Whadda good samaritan! Hmmm.

I know they were suppose to be going on "vacation" but that wasn't suppose to be till the end of this week. Maybe they started early.

A friend told me that prior to the OPEN sign being turned off here there was a strong odor of bacon coming from the parking lot. So maybe they read the writing on the wall and got out of dodge before any shit hit the fan.
2 spas within view of each other in 2 weeks biting the dust says to me the locals may be doing some late spring cleaning.

Sure they're safe, till something left on top gets dried out, catches fire, throws sparks. As for the 100 K in damages? Really, I have never, ever been in a spa that had anywhere close to that amount of work done. Even if the electrical and water pipes are torched.
She wasted my time twice now. Set up a date with her the first time and then no response till hours after. Apologizing. Set second date up, drove to McHenry. Then she says how do I know your not🌟I asked her how she wanted to verify. No response, I left after sitting there for 20 minutes. Very disappointed, if there was a concern on her part. I wish she would have addressed it before setting up a date. Having me drive out then putting the breaks on frustrated me. But I understand her concerns. I would be willing to verify for her and try again. Only because I am a patient man. But some may not be so patient.
Latest update. Set up another appointment. She couldn't host. So was a car date. Remind me never try that again. She is a very sweet girl. Put the effort forward 100%. If she had a place to host I would make regular visits. Worth considering a visit. She was very friendly and cute.

Firefighters need a little fun, too, you know.

Forget the name but I toftt and then wrote a report. I remember walking into the front lobby and being blown away with the elegance and workmanship someone put into it. Dark, rich, woodwork with matching trim, doors, and crown molding. One whole wall had a huge custom beveled mirror built into more woodworking. Huge squares of tile flooring. Also I remember a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The lobby alone had to have cost 100 k. I thought I was in a 5 star hotel. A friend of mine later told me that they had sunk over 400 k into the buildout. I believed her. It was and still is the nicest AMP I've ever been in. They were legit and expensive so I only went one more time. No fun either time. They only lasted a couple years. Then it was vacant for a couple more. Now I drive by there and its a dry cleaner or something. They probably gutted the whole insides.
Yes. I remember the place. Nicely done. First class all the way. Fairly large, I don't know maybe 9 rooms. Some kind of water bed contraption. Can't recall. From a business point of view the place never made any sense. Bob.
Took another run at the new AMP in Wauconda. Its located in the same strip mall as the Ace Hardware on Rt176. Opted for the stealth parking in the back and had an easy in and out by using the back door. I drew Sophie, who I would guess to be in her early / mid 30's. Nice girl who gave a really good massage with an above average amount of energy exerted. I received the full 60 minutes and there was never a mention of tip. I'll be back. All good.
I stopped by here on Saturday and was greeted with a woman who actually looked under 30. The other girl working there looked in her early 20's. This seems to be a rarity nowadays. Plus number 1.
The massage was extremely good, too, with hints of things to come. Plus number 2.
The flip continued the massage with a good ending!! Plus number 3.
I will definitely go back there very soon.
I tried to call the other day and got a 2 minute voicemail message. She said she is out of business, everyone wants extras, no one tips, everyone should go home and love their wives, etc. She probably should not have started out so good with extras and then want to stop them. She is a nice person but probably not the best in the business portion of things. Hope she does well in whatever she does next.
All that on voicemail. You guys were cheap with her tips? LOL.

As for tipping, she certainly never complained about what I tipped her. If she just wasn't so far out, I would have visited her 3 times as much as I did.
