Babes hustle
Hustled? That might not be the right term. I think where you went wrong was by not giving the bouncer dude more than $5. He's not going to give you much "alone" time for that technically he's your friend cause he knows whats up, give him $20 and tell him to relax or whatever and maybe then he will leave you alone. I learned this in dallas at the clubs. Bouncer would keep interrupting until you took care of him.
Business traveller from Boston here.
I decided to check out Babes on Thursday night due to some of the comments on this board. I am curious to know from the regulars how badly I got hustled.
Upon entry, I got hit with a 10 parking fee. Then a 10 cover.
Dances at the bar were 5, which I can't complain about.
I found a girl I liked, her name was either "Paradise" or "Dripping Wet", she gave me both names. Anyway, got a VIP room after screening her a bit. 25 for the VIP room, the VIP room bouncer insisted I tip him. I gave him a 5.
Dances in the VIP room with this girl were 10, but seemingly went nowhere. I kept asking for extras, only to be told by the girl that she was getting off in an hour and would hook up with me and her girlfriend at her house. I was justly skeptical of this given the lack of any indicator whatsoever that she had any intention of doing anything truly dirty with me. (Just over-the-pants rubbing.) 40 of that and I ended things.
I went back to the bar, and was approached by another girl, "Red Hot" (or something like that), who told me I wouldn't regret a dance with her. From the outside, I could tell she was for real, as she expertly concealed her stroking of my member (over the pants) as she lap-danced me at the bar.
I asked her if her VIP service was going to be a tease, or if she went all the way. She told me she'd find a condom and be right back.
Again, paid the VIP bouncer 25, and a 5 tip.
Her search for a condom seemed to take forever. She came back and told me she couldn't find one. Luckily, I had one in my wallet. She told me to put it on, which I did, and proceeded to reverse cow-girl me in the booth. At this point, money has not been discussed.
As I finished and started to clean up, a different bouncer guy came back with my dick hanging half out of my pants and told me I needed to leave and threatened to report the girl. At which point she started begging the guy to chill.
At that point, for whatever reason, I stopped thinking. I started giving the girl 20s, and she gave it to him. 160 later and he was like "alright, you guys are ok. Finish up. "
As far as I'm concerned, 160 for f/s in a strip club isn't a bad deal (from where I come from in Boston), but I get the sense that it is typically cheaper down here.
Was I hustled? Was this some elaborate ploy? Or just bad luck/timing?
AWB speaks with wisdom.
Though its not required, I usually tip the bouncer who "frisks" patrons at the door (and occasionally other staff) immediately upon entry into Atlanta's ebony clubs (the "frisking" usually is not present in traditional clubs).
Again, I emphasize its not required and far more than neccessary, but I've found that a "$100 handshake" helps me get what I want. The person(s) tipped (could be waitresses, managers, bartenders, etc.) typically treat me with great care. They readily feed me information (e.g. about how/with whom to score in the club that night). Also, I've found that in VIP situations as described, the "clock" (and often, the lights) is turned off and I and the lady(ies) are left to our own designs.
As AWB said, had the OP given the security guy say $20, the bouncer likely would have worked to keep distractions away from the patron.

1. pay to park $10 and tip parking guy $5 or $10
2. pay to enter $ 10 or $20 and tip bouncer extra, more than $10
3. pay fro drinks and tip bar tender at least $5 each time
4. tip bathroom guy $5 each time
5. pay for $5 or $10 lapdances
6. pay $40 to go in VIP then $100+ to dancer
I will have to pass on that rip off fest. Its like PU$$Y is so damn valuable now that 5 middle men can get payed before you even see a ho. LOL Women have it made I tell yah.

You already paid $25 to get into the room. Dancer could've helped you out with being more discreet if need be and if the bouncer wanted to kick you out the club. So what? You're from out of town and you've already done your business so your pretty much leaving anyway.
I wouldn't say you were hustled but you could "case" out the place a little more before making your selection. I was just in Babes last week from out of town (I been thru ATL several times, though). You just sample different girls at $5 until you find the one that really does it for you. Don't go for what they say. Actions definitely speak louder than words. Every stripper anywhere I've ever been has told me there dance would be worth it and most will try to sell VIP up front if they can. Never go for it. Sample them outside the VIP for 1 song and if she about it in VIP it will be very obvious at the bar.
Also agree to a price before she does anything in VIP because they will upsell that. Now if the dances become something else it can be tough to negotiate but you don't want to get done and they say you owe a buck sixty for 4-5 songs even if you did hit it. With the economy and the type of hoods these girls come from they will do the same thing for a lot less.

24k Gold Club
Heard that it opened daytime last week and will be opened night time on the coming Monday. Heard 2 of the sexy strippers I used to know will be dancing there. I am going to check it out.

Never did I (or the poster I quoted) say "must."
But, some men CAN.
"Representin' money... buy you some...."

24K Club
I stopped by here on Saturday afternoon and the sign outside said they were only open till 8pm. A couple of decent looking girls. I got a dance but not a lot of mileage. She did offer to do a little takeout with her roommate.

May be we should work with the org that tries to make this a legal biz (zoning) and write to the lawmakers? Making it illegal only encourgages rip off artists.

I had a feeling mileage would go way down. That's what happens when a strip club gets renovated and the owner tries to make it an upscale spot and get rid of the old reputation.
In this tough economy I don't see how the new 24K can compete with Cheetah and other upscale establishments. I suspect in a few months mileage will get better as management realizes that the club can't make money unless it provides value (either 9's or 10's or high mileage) to the customers.
I had a chat a while back with one of the people in charge of the renovation. He mentioned something about the possibility of offering a $1,000 VIP card that would allow free yearly access to the club and the VIP rooms and other benefits. I wonder whether they actually went through with the idea.

I think you were see that they were built not for sitting back and getting a lap dance. They were made for horizontal action. The girl who gives you that tour will probably talk to you more freely about the action in the club.

Gold 24k club
I have a friend that dances she told me that they let all the black girls that worked for the club go, as in they had "auditions" or whatever and they did not re hire any of the black girls that were working there. The ones she knows offer extras.
I guess I should find out where they end up working.

How the heck does a strip club close at 8pm??? That's just plain stupid. I can't see dancers wanting that considering evenings and weekend nights are usually the money maker times.

I have been told that they will be fully opened 2/16 Monday. Two of my friends, nice looking girls, will be waitressing there. I will check it out this week. One problem I can see is their limiting parking area. Will issue a report after I go there.

Interesting. I'll wait for a few weeks before checking out the diversity.
The same owner also owns Shooter's Alley and Platinum Plus. My original guess was that they were going to end up there. But I have seen the dancers in multiple strip clubs including Babes. As a matter of fact, there is one who still works at Babes.
