If they are truly desperate, which I doubt, and they lowered their ridiculous rates, which I never see, they'd be less so, wouldn't they? But it never seems to occur to them. No, it's up to us to continue supporting them as rates climb. Services are covered, reduced or eliminated. And if we don't call, they will?!
What an embarrassing state of affairs, when pooning used to be such fun and so much easier!
It does seem some have dropped their asking price, but not by much. There are still plenty with what seem like reasonable rates to me.
I've been mongering sporadically about 25 years now and honestly, with all the web resources mongering has never been easier. Before the internet we had to rely on dubious classified ads and SWs, which was much riskier. If I were younger I'd be having so much fun now! You younger dudes, enjoy it while you can and appreciate how much easier it is now.

Burner phones
If a provider from six months ago can contact you, you're too careless. Burn your number every few months. When you want a repeat, just describe where and when you met them and what you were wearing. Never had a problem.
For me, I don't ever have my burner phone on unless I am in "monger mode" for EXACTLY the reason described earlier. The last thing I need is for my SO to hear the phone ring or vibrate or see a text from a desperate provider.
I don't really want to have to change numbers all the time or get a new phone. There is one provider that I WANT to have my number and I look for her messages when they do come.
I use an older version of an iphone that I had before we switched carriers. I can always tell my SO that I have it to store music and work related video, so that I don't use up storage on my working phone.
I turn of ALL notifications from messages or phone calls, so that nothing pops up on the home screen and have a different passcode than the one my SO would guess. I also don't have a voice mail set-up, so no one can leave one.
Just the way I approach my burner. If a provider from 6 months ago tries to contact me, I probably won't see it for days, maybe weeks. When I do see it, I am NOWHERE near my wife at the time.
Been caught having an affair YEARS ago by her, I DEFINITELY don't want to go through anything like that again!
Be safe! Rock Chalk!

This hobby is just a minor secret for me. If others found out I'd be embarrassed but don't need to worry about compromising a more significant relationship. When I'm in a more significant relationship mongering doesn't seem worth the risk.

I have all of the notifications turned off and I keep my phone locked. If for some reason, my SO opens my phone and starts going through apps, I delete everything in there so there isn't anything. The only chance she'd find something is if I left my phone unlocked (she doesn't have the password), she started digging through my apps and found Google Voice and someone sent me a message without me knowing it and it was still there. That's pretty unlikely. It's less likely she'll find something on my phone than she would finding a burner phone that I attempted to hide.
The bigger issue is if I piss someone off on that other board and they pass my number around. It hasn't happened yet (I'm pretty likeable and with rare exception, I honestly have done nothing but SBs in two years), but if I ever decide that I won't take any BS from someone on that site, I'll need to trash my Google Voice number.
For me it's been the usual suspects Jessica Crush (just saw her), Buffy, Peyton, and some of the older tired ladies I have zero interest in. It reeks of desperate and yes that an be a good bargaining tool because to me that gives me the immediate upper hand but it seems to happen at inconvenient times.

If you use a cash only prepaid phone then that's fine. Use a VPN and a separate browser you only use for mongering in private mode to hit the GV site. Downside is you can't call with it, which is why you have a dumb candy phone with no data set aside for phone calls only. GV can forward to that number if you want to receive calls.

It's only a little privacy from LE if they are not really looking.
There is a lot of data waiting to be analyzed and the tools are getting better: https://theintercept.com/2020/12/23/police-phone-surveillance-dragnet-cellhawk/.

I'm pretty sure she has kept it off her list of available options.

If LE is going to spend the time, money and effort, to hunt me down and possibly get me for a low-level misdemeanor (in which I have 3 attorneys in the family that would fight like hell to eliminate), so be it.
For LE, I'm small time, they shouldn't have an interest in me.

Thanks for all your insight, especially in the Non Pros subforum.
BTW, the public is still clamoring for the public release of your porn debut shot down in the FLA.

Use Burner or one of the other burner apps. The communication to your phone is not cellular at that point, no IMEI. They'd need to look up what pool the number resides in and who leases that pool, and then get a warrant for the logs. If the number-provider keeps logs.

You might be seeing someone who's legal but if the person has association with someone else that say does underage girls, then you get caught up in the entire thing. You can fight and be cleared, absolutely, but your name and picture will have been plastered all over the internet. If you are EU based, you can theoretically ask all those sites to remove your information but then again, does anyone have the resources to go after each and every site in the web?
