Gripe Number 1: you've turned the forum into a porn site rather than a bulletin board. Response: so fucking what if you have? It's one forum out of all of them (and recently just one thread) , and until Jackson says to knock it off who are your detractors to say otherwise?

Gripe Number 2: too many nearly identical pics of the same girl. WTF? Skip them. Page down, folks, page down. Someone was bitching that it's hard to page through your pics on a mobile device. Really? Hard? Itty boo. Use that mobile device to call your Mommy and get her to bring you some comfort food you whiny little pisser.

Gripe number 3: I complained about you, and you were a jerk in your response. I suppose that this isn't really a separate category, since it requires Gripe 1 or 2, but you seem to get a lot of traffic of this type. In the interest of full disclosure, I sometimes find your replies make you look egotistical, but even if you were the biggest pecker on planet earth, I can't help but notice that people have brought this shit down on their own heads by not just leaving you alone to do your thing.

Secret Gripe Number 4: I would bet money that some of your detractors and you have a PM history in which they felt slighted and now they have an agenda. I get this idea from reading between the lines, but I stand by it. This maybe the dumbest category of all, since anyone with the emotional maturity of a 12 year old should be able to at least say to themselves: "well, fuck him, I'm never going to talk to him again" rather than saying "well, fuck him, now I'm going to go see if I can piss in his Cheerios".

Top Secret Gripe Number 5: CookieJar. Clearly Cookie has a great sense of humor and fucks with you just to get a rise out of you and your supporters. Cookie seems to be one of the good guys, but he just can't help himself. I have friends who are super sensitive about some subjects, and I occasionally poke them just to watch them go volcanic, so I can relate.

Taken as a whole, the most consistent thread among the haters is egomania. It's not about changing things-the haters don't use an approach that could ever possibly get you to change. It's not about information-they aren't telling us anything we don't know or couldn't figure out. I hate to go all Occam on the members, but egomania is by far the simplest explanation of 90% of the negative posts.

Why do I care? Curiosity, mostly, and since I have the opportunity, I figured, why not ask?

Who am I to take people to task? No one, really. Just a dumbshit with a keyboard and a thought or two.

But, there is a fine line between having your own opinion, and needlessly trampling on someone else. Some complained that this was just visual overload and I agreed. I started to group them 10 at a time (now with collages and a favorite) and spread over time so they could better be visually absorbed and appreciated. I had another valuable suggestion that I was bunching the photos in time sequence such that there were a lot of a similar type together. So, within each set of 10 posted I started to vary the type and poses, and even the time sequencing for visual variety. This change quite dramatically increased the number of views per pic in the gallery, so I suppose the change has been successful and well received.

I have previously explained my position in this regard. Some members seem to take this very personally like they are entitled to get this information. So they take the pissing contest public in some way. One guy went off the deep end about this and started making very serious public and private threats, which, of course, is a big no-no in the rules of this Forum. For this he was banned.

These 'encounters' always seem to have a similar pattern: some member PMs me and tells me how much he admires my work, etc., and wants some contact information. I explain my position and even send him a link to my reports on this. He tries to convince me that he isn't one of the bad guys and would never do what that jerk did to me and I shouldn't let one guy spoil it for everyone else. I still refuse. Then come all the insults: I think too much of myself; I am a jerk, whatever. HIV is always a deadly threat and I try to give it an especially wide berth. You tend to get this effect when the environment is very dark, because the light of the flash is reflecting from the retina, which is covered with tiny blood vessels. The more open the pupils are, the more red eye effect you get in your photos. Red eye is more pronounced in people with light eye color. It is also more pronounced in people with blond or light-red hair and in children. With the pinpoint pupils of opiate users, it is MUCH less of a problem. With crack users, the red eye effect would be much more evident.

During the day there is more than enough natural light for a pics, and at night you may as well just direct LE to you with an air raid siren. Even during the day the brilliance of a flash can be seen for a long distance. All of my flash pics are indoors. Even during the day indoors I let many of the lights on in the room. That tends to prevent stark shadows from the flash, and the extra lighting greatly reduces the chances of red eye in the photo.
