I completly agree with you that gun laws should require training, background checks and proof of ability to handle a weapon safely. But, I completly disagree with you that carrying a weapon for self defense is more likely to harm an innocent bystander. Someone who has the knowledge of how to handle a weapon, and the knowledge of when, and when not, to use it, is not a threat to anyone except the bad guy in a bad situation. If the situation that happened in Aurora, with that crazy who shot all those people in the theater, had happened here in Phoenix, he would have fired off one of two shots before half the audience would have pulled out their weapons and put him down.
I am retired from the Marine Corps after 30 years. One of the first things I did, after moving to Arizona, was to get a CCW (Carry Concealed Weapon) permit. To receive that permit a person needs training in weapons, have a background check completed by the FBI, and the abilty to show how to handle a weapon in a safe manner. You say that you, after 25 years of living here, have never known anyone who carrys a gun. That is amazing to me. I think if you asked all the people you've known over that period of time you would be surprised to find that some of them do carry. Carrying concealed means you can't see it, and it's something you don't let other people know about.
And, you are also correct that we do not need a militia for guarding against the British. Now it's a different part of the world that we need to guard against. Stock up on beans, blankets and bullets.

When I went by there a few Friday evenings ago, there was the receptionist encouraging me to get a session with the younger heavy set latina girl who was just leaving the room with a customer. I declined, and after visiting 7 other spas settled on a girl at the last one for $170 total deal.
I agree if you are going to pay $150 for a HE, you might as well just give her $$ for FS. If you have to haggle with the girl over the fee, she isn't going to get into the session and you will always be disappointed. It's one thing telling a provider you are $20 short on FS, and another seriously trying to undercut her price. They know that $60-$100 is the going rate in the area for HE and $140-$200 for FS. IMO it's best to just get dressed in this situation, take a loss on the massage, and if you can afford it and are still horny, immediately go to a place where you know how much the tip is.
