General Reports

To start: a big shout out to those members of the Philly board that responded to this out-of-towners pm's and requests. I appreciate it; special thanks go to the animals of the board: Cephalopodlove and Gator. Some intel worked out, some did not, but that is the way it goes and I'm thankful people are happy to share.

I did meet Selena, thanks to Gator. She is mid to late 20's with nice long black hair, decent body. Nice girl. She came by my place and enjoyable activities ensued. She has very fine oral skills. An earlier report warned to watch her carefully, so I took obvious and moderate precautions and had no trouble at all. A nice girl and I would happily repeat. Gator has her contact.

OK, so a provocative title to attract readers. I know the answer to the question. That said, found a report on the population of HIV / AIDS infection in the City of Philadelphia. Now perhaps I am reading this wrong, but it appears to point to some ways to manage one's risk? Everyone of course has to look them self in the mirror and decide what is an acceptable risk that they want to take. NO ONE should be degraded, belittled or chided for making any choice they so choose, even if you disagree with their choice. But with knowledge is power and one can act as they wish.

Here is what I found interesting.

64.5% Black.
20.9% White.
12.0% Hispanic.

74.3% Male.
25.6% Female.
[I]Looks like overall 1/4 risk playing with women.[/I]

Male to male (M2 M) 34.7%.
Injected drugs (IDU) 30.2%.
M2 M & IDU 3.7%.

[I]...so..... nearly 70% risk with these groups! Avoid M2M players and drug users![/I]

OK, not the greatest numbers but do show the risks of drug users and gay-realted dudes. BUT... Drilling down further.

[I]So this appears to suggest that younger is less risk? What happens to the risk if one combines age and ethnicity? For example 20-29 aged Hispanic women? Is it 14.6% X 7.7% = 1.1%[/I]

Appears to be born out if one looks at the prevalence rates in another table near the end it summarizes this data.

Yousa! Looks like the risk of HIV from young women in Philadelphia is quite low. Use of drugs increases risk and other factors may be in play too.

Stay safe out there![/QUOTE]Recently with a repeat date who I thought would know better, she forgot about the condom and I ended up inadvertently having BBFS. Granted, a male--especially a circumcised one with unbroken skin--is at very low risk for contracting HIV from a female. My concern afterwards was for herpes, not HIV. I, for one, will still insist on a condom and look askance at a provider who does not do the same.

I'm curious, is that video store with the booths still about? It was a great warm night last night so I took a casual drive about in the wee hours just to look about. I now own a very tiny car so I was just curiously scouting, not shopping if you know what I mean and vetured under the EL and didn't notice that video store that I recall from a few years back. Sorry, it's actually been quite some time, as I was cruising down the ave I didn't notice it at all. Is it gone?

I'm prolly going to start working a later shift soon and am trying to get some ideas about daytime excursions I might be able to have now and then. With the gentrification and construction boom in the city, a bunch of those book stores with booths and girls seem to have disappeared. Is there nothing about like that these days away from center city?

I'm trying to find something lite, easy, fun, casual but dirty I can do on the streets now that the warm summer days are here. It's been years since I've actually walked a city street during the daytime. Any daytime bar / club to go sip a lite brew and get a stinky finger?

Damn. I'm really bored today.
