But many, I would venture to say most providers aren't in this situation. Many either don't have a standard job or have one that doesn't pay well, might not be as attractive, etc. These providers obviously need the money more and aren't just doing it as a side hustle.

I won't pay $400+ per hour for the same reason I won't pay $150 for dinner at a swanky restaurant; even though I can sometimes afford it, it's not worth it to me when other perfectly good options are available for less money. A good example is MacAllan's Scotch Whiskey, which went from about $300 for a bottle of thirty-year-old scotch 15 years ago to around $3000 today, yet it still sells and people still buy it -- actually it is even harder to get now because more people know about it. A high-end girl who is hot as f* shows up on time, is discreet, and very compliant is kind of like that bottle of fantastic scotch. Sure, I could drink wild turkey.

I bought a bottle of the good stuff in March and I swore I'd open it when this covid crap is over.

What I'm saying is that the world is a little too complicated to expect that any kind of coordinated effort by hobbyists is going to have much impact on what the girls try to charge. You can make your own decisions and more power to you if you do, but again don't expect to change the world by not paying girls more than $200 or whatever.
