I am on those streets in back of the yards for the flea and park behind some questionable areas because it's just easier. Now would I hang down there after hours late nights. It's just really use common sense fellas. Look at 5 and cic during the day. It's a war zone! Streets fricked up, abandoned cars, et al. So imo agree that the northside can be safer, however the strolls seems to be either 5 or 47th and to me I just don't know the ins and outs of those areas to feel ok after hours. Sure I could get lucky and get a decent hummer for 20 30 beans, however I also could wind up very dead. All just imo and again I always appreciate input from you guys positive and negative. I myself have ventured into a vast majority of the city in search of "fun". You seem to need to have your head on a swivel a lot. Some I will venture, some I will not. That is my choice. Also being familiar with your surroundings plays a large part. That is why this forum play such a vital role in allowing us to enjoy yourselves and not get into something that was not prepared. I've been looking into getting a radar detector so that I can be one step ahead of the police when I'm cruising. I've never used one before. How useful are they?

Very useful. Don't cheap out though. I only go with Escort brand. Saved me multiple times when I was coming home a little imbibed and even helped when I used to cruise local strolls. Be careful in Chicago. Very few squads have radar, practically no undercover cars carry it. Only the assigned traffic units in Chicago have radar and they are mainly patrolling Lake Shore Drive and the Expressways. Almost all suburban cops have radar in the car so it should help you on any suburban stroll. Again, well worth the investment.

Gina and Gabby. After seeing one of my regulars on 47th and Cicero around 5:30 AM. Drove down Cicero and on 4800 d Cicero saw Gabi. She was offering me a $20 one time deal for everything. Told me she usually charges 40. Decided to pass. Next block over 4900 s Cicero ran into Gina. I was charging $75 for everything. Definitely could've got her down to about 40.
