After seeing a few comments here like the one above, I also have adopted the policy of only booking a QV for the first appointment. It's worked out well for me.

No need to escalate things and bring down a lot of crap into your life over what amounts to little more than a hassle and disappointment. That being said, I had an incident where I went out of my way to help out a provider in a difficult situation. Spent more time with her one afternoon than I would normally, driving her around, helping her get set up in her room, etc. Shit I normally would never do, but we'd had fun in a gas station bathroom and her promise was to continue in a more comfortable setting. When she got what she wanted, she then treated me like shit, going into a tirade that "I don't owe you shit!" Over and over. I left without a word. Then every time she posted on BP. I mean every single time. I reported her ad as spam or inappropriate or whatever, from different machines. I enjoyed watching what appeared to be her exasperation as she posted more and more ads, changing her images, trying to sneak around me. Eventually, she quit posting entirely. Seems she's left the area for good, or quit the business. In that respect, maybe I did her a favor in the long run, but I'm sure she lost a lot of money and spent a good deal of time alone in her room in some shitty hotel as her ads got pulled day after day.
