Hey Amigo, I don't know you and have no idea how experienced you are in the hobby, but the whole story sets my Spidey Senses on red alert. fwiw
First, what does being verified on a website have to do with ones personal safety? My point is that a scammer can sign up, LE can sign up, an alien can sign up, my dog can sign up! lol. So from this chair "verified" means only a very little. One had to send their ID to that Elkton website to "get verified" and that didn't stop LE from doing that, signing up for the site and "getting verified!"
Second, in my experience the addition of a 3rd party into the mix is a HUGE red flag. If some dude met me in the parking lot and not the girl, I would thank him politely and immediately leave! Too many things could go wrong under that scenario.
Again, when a girl tells me she is from out of town, I have a jaundiced eye toward the situation. I want to see she is reviewed and a good provider, not a hit it and quit ripoff artist.
Everything the guy said sounds like a scammer to me. A slick scammer will accuse YOU of being the shady character in order to divert your attention from the fact that they are the scammer. That's just scammer 101 : put you on the defensive.
Thanks but I'm not new to this. It was risky but just thought I'd TOFTT. Someone's got to do it. And yeah I agree that getting verified doesn't guarantee anything or stop one from hurting the girl but why would you give someone your identity and then assault or rob them. Kittyads says they verify your I. D. , not sure what that means but it's better than nothing. And some higher end girls / agencies require screening. I thought it was more like that. BTW, he didn't think I was shady, he thought I was some other guy in the lobby and that guy looked shady. And I didn't give any personal info basically just said I was self employed, which I am.
As for 3rd parties, girls usually have a friend / pimp that usually looks after them. So that could always be an issue. But yeah you usually don't meet them beforehand. I don't think he was originally going to meet me if I was verified. I just don't get what the point of verifying is if this is a scam they run.
