Strip Club Reports

Thought I'd check out the PlayPen last night Sun. Around midnight. Creepy dead quiet. I paid $15 to go in, to find I was the only monger in there. 3 of the 5 ladies were too thick for my taste albeit nice to chat with. Got a dance with a skinny latina who misled me: I asked if she had a lot of rules about what not to do, turns out she did, squirming to avoid pretty much everything but quick feedings. A waste of $40 for "6 songs" which probably were like a minute and a half each. Then, as I'm about to leave, the one foxy woman in the joint, where was she hiding?"Sexy" she calls herself, does a stage show worth staying for, very enticing. But by then my money feels misspent so I left without pursuing her further.

You'd think these places would try to keep a guy around on a slow night, it was like they all just wanted to go home, staff, dancers, owners and all.

However, there was this brunet with both body and looks of 7 asked me (more of persistently pushed me) $60 for lapdances. (she in fact mentioned intimate times) She had real cocky attitude so I declined. As for Sam's, been there ages ago and I was going to stop by from Play Pen on the same night. But parking was jam packed and couldn't even find spot on the street. I wondered what was going on inside. Passed by from checking out Rhio on other nights but it was packed all the time.

Very simply, Sam's is NOT a monger bar. It's a hangout and party bar best experienced with friends like most topless joints in SoCal. You drink, you flirt and have PG-13 rated fun. You don't go there looking for action.

Play Pen can be an action club for playerz, but like most such clubs in the heart of L. A. It is extremely YMMV. Like most strip clubs, it will never be the best outlet for high quality action from lookers for reasonable payout. So action yes, value no, and patience and some luck needed for a worthy playmate to come around.

I applaud anyone who does a little bit of research to do better in their field. I was listening to a sociologist who studied social cues by using waitresses as a control group. What he found was this: If a waitress looks the person in the eye when handing them the check, will see a 3% increase in tips compared to a waitress who doesn't look in the eye. But even more interesting- if she brings a little gift (ie a candy) and looks them in the eye when handing the check, the tip goes upwards of 20. So if you are a dancer reading this thread- I can't tell you how to play this out as far as gifts and eye conact and when to do it (and I'm sure there's a lot of wiggle room right here to mention something crude but I won't) , but looking a client in the eye is key to helping your tips increase.

The important message for the dancers is:

Bad hustles. Are bad for your long term success. The clients willing to pay the extra money for extra services are the clients you want happy and coming back. You want them to remember that while they spent quite a bit of money, they were overall satisfied. If you hustle them out of a significant amount of cash and make the experience negative, even if they finally just agree to give it to you to shut you up. You've lost that customer for good and there's a decent chance word will get around.

While you want to avoid giving "freebies" to the low ballers. Because this is a business and you work to make money; it cannot be overstated how much more money you can realistically make from the high rollers if they feel that you are giving them more than you'd give the "average guy". I know from my experience. If a dancer is giving me a good dance and ends up giving me an extra couple songs or a break on some extras. The money she is passing up she WILL get back eventually either in better tips or a regular customer. Making a guy feel like he's "special". Is probably the most valuable skill a dancer can have in terms of making long term money.

Hard to really think of a line that would lead to tips. I get enough tip requests as it is which usually has the opposite effect.

LOL They bs with me but never about negative s stuff, play some pool and always give me a nod of acknowledgement when I walk in. They also thank me last so they can thank the others but hang with me and if they got a bigger fish on the line they give me a minute or two but than part with a joke like time to panhandle with my titties or the beatings will continue till morale improves. Sam's didn't lose their license, according to their website, they had a 20 day interruptus of some sort, will be back boozing Jan. 9. I love Sam's. You won't get high mileage, but I've become friends with a few of the babes there and some of my lap dances have been very high octane albeit lacking any bodily fluid exchange. What can I say, it's a fun joint. Good place to watch Pacquiao fights on HBO too. Funky, unpretentious without being gangsta.

I can say that Sam's is special to him in a way I can't discuss, but Sam's is not the owner and operator unless something changed recently. That's entirely possible since the whole site changed and I agree with the commentary here that it changed drastically for the worse.

It was the SoCal website of record for the local stripclub scene and it still is. A few years ago it started to get hijacked by club managers and other shills and plenty of trolls too poisoning the reader review boards which were the heart of the site. After awhile it looks like Z just gave up the fight and decided to install this totally different format which would openly be sponsored by the clubs. IMO the sponsorships and the new format have brought the individual club coverage way way down. It had already been adulterated by the shills and trolls who are not there now, but the daily vibrant activity and veteran contributions are gone too. Seems like most of the sustaining vets who posted with candor and sharp insights have walked away or are keeping on the sidelines. However the forum is still there and that will be as good or bad as the participants make it.

Sam's btw may be the most successful strip club business in the whole L.A. metro area. No other strip club is so constantly busy day and night, and they are making huge profit on booze sales with their gigantic markups which nude clubs can't do. Believe it or not, many nude clubs would have opened or switched to being topless booze clubs if they could get a liquor license which the state licensing agency ABC has made next to impossible. Much more money to be made in a boozy titty bar than a hardcore nude lapdance club.

So finally stopped and paid my first visit. Not a bad little spot all Latinas which is what I've been looking for. Most of the girls were thicker girls which I love. Spent time with 2 different women first was Venus nice a little older. Second was Emily younger thick legs and ass which I love great tits was very fun and easy to talk with. No extras and I didn't try with either since it was first visit I think I can work it with some of the ladies though. I will be going back for another visit

But clubs serving alcohol are under the Nazi watch of the ABC who threaten their liquor licenses for such crimes of passion.

You can socialize and buy booze for the chicas here with no commission over the price of your own drink. So the best way to "work it with some of the ladies" is to drink with them, build confianza, get the numero, and make a date on the outside. In that way the club operates as a better option than Hostess Clubs because the drinks are alcoholic, and even better than ficha bars because you don't get "ficha fucked" on the muchacha's drink price.

BTW, especially during prime time, not all the chicas are thick. Definitely some flacitas and spinners. Difficult to get quality time though during prime time because the place is packed.

Also, don't go on Saturday nights prime time if there's any kind of interesting boxing program being broadcast because they charge an extra cover and shut down the normal action (stage and lap dancing) because the crowd is there for the fight. Go early or later, keeping in mind that as a booze club, the place is shut tight by 2AM unlike no-booze nude strip clubs which stay open until dawn or close to it on weekends.

Both of the girls that have me dances popped out nipple during the dances and let me get some suction going. Dancers are treated poorly, and the management spends some effort to discover if they are dancing at other clubs, and if they are, fires them. Makes no fucking sense. But I suspect the folks who run strip clubs aren't rocket surgeons.

Sams is a cool bar for a drink and some titties, but nothing too special IMO.

It's pretty corporate in feel, owned by the Spearmint Rhino folk. Very fancy deco. A huge and noisy place, with a very large stage room and another room that's all sports bar. And another one that's a separate private club in the same building, I'm told. No cover, and drinks were cheap. Different crowd than Sam's for sure, whiter and more upscale. I hung out with an ex-Sam's waitress for a while, didn't really stay long enough to pursue lapdances, there were few hot gals there at the time, even if the place was packed.

If you go early enough they have a special going on for 3-4 bucks you get a burger, fries and light beer. I've only been there around noonish and the girls haven't really started to dance but its a cool sports bar attached.

I generally go to COI for strip clubs. Never really ventured into the L. A. Area much when concerning these. However, I used to go to two different strip clubs in the Monrovia area that I liked a lot. Both have closed down and now there is a topless bar there that is sort of okay. I don't mind topless bars with low mileage at times. What I love is finding girls who haven't stripped for very long. I like them a lot. I have a friend who taught me well on finding them or seeking them out and, in-turn, corrupting them a bit.

However when it comes to the comparison to COI to L. A. Strip clubs I don't have much reference. Sometimes I like to go to places where I know there is high mileage. COI during the day is a near guarantee. You nearly have to be deaf and dumb to miss it. L. A, I'm just not sure and often love reading the reports here to compare.

I do wish Monrovia's were still open but they just don't seem to stick in that area for whatever reason. Glendale has one, but it's low mileage.

Stopped by the Coast and it was surprisingly full. New girls. Good music. A throwback to the old days when they used to serve alcohol and it seemed like one big, fun crowded house party whenever you went. There were a couple of friendly dancers that were obviously older than most of the other girls there. One of them had a big booty and wore glasses. She was somewhat short and I think I remember her from doing porn in the late '90s or early 2000s but didn't want to ask then be wrong. LOL. Barbary Coast also had a few model looking girls there too. I mean really pretty strippers. There was one shapely dancer that I noticed right away. She had a lot of tats and a super massive ass. I mean that booty jiggled for another 2 seconds whenever she stopped walking! Soon after noticing her she was called up on stage and did one of the best stage routines of the night. So much so that people started throwing money on the stage out of appreciation for her enthusiasm and dancing skills. The model girls that looked prettier but just sort of walked from side to side didn't get half the times she did. So after the performance the DJ announced her name as Star.

Never seen or heard of her name mentioned on this forum. But does anybody have any info on Star from the Barbary Coast? There were so many guys trying to get dances from her after she got off stage I figured I would just talk to her on another trip back to the Coast.
