Thanks yeah the dude met me in the parking lot. Originally they were going to cancel on me b / c they thought I was some guy in the lobby that looked sketchy and I wasn't verified. But then I talked to him in the parking lot and he was asking me about what I do etc.
She was verified on kitty ads (you send them an I. D.) so not sure if that is legit. If I was verified they were going to let me go to the room and pay after so not sure how that is a scam. If it is, they have a pretty good back story. He said they are from AC and mostly see regulars that are verified. Just to make sure no one is a cop or hurts the girls. He also looked up my number and found out that it was a google voice. And I asked her to take a pic with a pen and she did. So there's a bunch of stuff like that making me think they didn't trust me and didn't want to risk it. Or maybe it was some elaborate scam.
And looks like she is still here posting ads.

Hey Amigo, I don't know you and have no idea how experienced you are in the hobby, but the whole story sets my Spidey Senses on red alert. fwiw
First, what does being verified on a website have to do with ones personal safety? My point is that a scammer can sign up, LE can sign up, an alien can sign up, my dog can sign up! lol. So from this chair "verified" means only a very little. One had to send their ID to that Elkton website to "get verified" and that didn't stop LE from doing that, signing up for the site and "getting verified!"
Second, in my experience the addition of a 3rd party into the mix is a HUGE red flag. If some dude met me in the parking lot and not the girl, I would thank him politely and immediately leave! Too many things could go wrong under that scenario.
Again, when a girl tells me she is from out of town, I have a jaundiced eye toward the situation. I want to see she is reviewed and a good provider, not a hit it and quit ripoff artist.
Everything the guy said sounds like a scammer to me. A slick scammer will accuse YOU of being the shady character in order to divert your attention from the fact that they are the scammer. That's just scammer 101 : put you on the defensive.
Then, HE said he will let you go do the date and pay later? What if she says, "Pay me now?" You going to argue with her knowing a dude is outside? Maybe she has you lay the fee on a table? Point is that if the dude is around, he has a key to the room and can come in once you are naked and then what? Read the threads, it happens all the time. My guess is, dude comes in in the middle and you are going to want to beat feet out of there and he is going to make sure the funds stay in the room. In an extreme case she can scream rape or something and then it is a two against one story. You want to "trade charges with them? They admit to prostitution (misdemeanor) and you are charged with rape, assault, etc (Felonies). What are you future job prospects with those kinds of charges or an arrest record like that? Starting to see why a 3rd party in the mix is a bad idea?
So the point is all of the "verification" stuff she had and all of that personal information you gave out about yourself to get "verified", how did that work out for you? I'm just saying.
Not sure of the significance of her still posting is? From this view point it appears to mean they haven't been locked up yet. It is amazing how long these scammers are able to operate because too many guys have no clue. We see it all of the time, so you are not alone. The scam will keep going as long as there are suckers to take the fall. When they build up a big enough reputation as a scammer, then business might be hurt.
Shoot there are even guys who read the threads and see negative reports about a girl or numerous bad reports who will go see them anyway. LOL. Might be hubris that they think they have superior skills and "that will never happen to me" or that they think they can change the girl or situation. We see them post that they are going to go see the girls, but never see a follow up, probably because the collective experience / reports were right!
Look, that appeared to be a bad situation all the way around. At least from my experience. I don't know, perhaps I am reading this wrong and if so My Bad. But if you think what you did was OK, Then I am scared to death for you. (maybe I'm not reading the situation right?) Hey, you can take advice here, learn how to hone your spidey senses and learn how to be safe or bumble along and make mistakes. I just hope that for your sake if you take the latter approach you stay safe, don't get injured, monetary loses are low or have no events that are negative to yor resume.
I know reading the threads the hobby looks easy. In the movies and TV it looks easy too. But those guys here that are experienced and make it look easy, have a bunch of personal rules and a developed spidey sense that they use to stay safe. A lot of the "experience" comes from making the mistakes in the past. So one can learn from that experience or make mistakes them self.
Rule #1 of the hobby is: it is better to walk away with blue balls than end up ripped off, injured or killed or knicked. I can tell you I have walked away from my share of situations that set off the Spidey Senses. I never second guess myself as it is always wiser to walk away than end up saying woulda, coulda, shoulda!
Glad you made it out safe from this situation! Keep asking 'how to' questions as there is no dumb question but the one unasked.
Be safe!
